The Shia community has shown it has tremendous control over the Pakistani media. Any occasion which pertains to Shias is given tremendous coverage. It is as if Sunnis and other Muslim sects do not exist or matter at all. In countries where Shias do not exist,, the first of Muharram is celebrated because it is the beginning of the Islamic new year and it is celebrated.
But in places where Shias are living celebrating the Islamic new year is something which they cannot tolerate. Shias resort to self flagellation - a practice carried out Christian Catholics. The Christian Catholics did it to symbolise the way Christ suffered before being led to the cross.
The Shias have copied this ritual but added another element, on the whips they have attached blades to the so that they bleed even more. They even stab their heads making them bleed too
They are so extreme that during Muharram if any of their loved ones dies - mourning is reserved only for Hussain and Hasan and no one else.
During Muharram all entertainment in Pakistan is strictly prohibited, so that the Shias should not be offended. If the Shias were truly Muslims only Muhammed would be accepted as the prophet. But the Shias claim it was Ali who should have been the prophet and Muhammad usurped it right from Ali. The Sunni majority should not allow a minority sect dictate terms to them. The Shias should stay within their own confines and not try take over anything.
No entertainment on tv channels during Muharram, from the first of Muharram particularly to Ashura full ten days of boredom.
A few years back Muharram fell at the same time as New Year's eve. There was lot of rejoicing, dancing and singing. Truck loads of Shias came out in truck there and started cursing the people who were having fun.
Fortunately there was no backlash from the merry making crowd. The Shias can never ever be happy - their faith is of extreme masochism. Come Ashura all the black clad fucking assholes will be narrating the same story of the 'martyrdom at Karbala' People are required to cry. What if this garbage taken off the air of all tv channels, what is the worst will the Shias can do? Why should the members of other Muslims and non-Muslims suffer watching this crap? It seems Shias have infiltrated ever institution of the state and placed them in a very dangerous position. The Shia are in the media, some as anchor persons. It is time Shia started being ignored in Pakistan

In any case blocking of public roads is illegal because people pay motor vehicle tax for accessing public road. No one has the right to block public roads, those who do, are criminals.
