Exposing psychopaths-1

Watching my brothers endlessly abusing each other amid conversation - only indicated that there was no link between the abuse and whatever they were talking about. Over time I learnt that psychopaths are immune to harsh language. Words used to insult and degrade, simply have no affect on them. The only reason why they will attack on hearing them - is because they are predisposed towards violence and want an excuse to do be so. However they feel no shame or guilt when they are, particularly when they have hurt someone.
However setting that aside.
They do not know what it means to have a brother or a sister. The kinship does not exist. True feelings do not exist - no brother would abuse the other the way in such extreme manner. It was seen as perfectly normal. It is not. When they are away from each other never call up or know how the other is. Your brother is not your friend whom you help. Being a brother means going over and above everyone else to help the other. But my brothers could never bring themselves to do that. Their greed and morbid fear of being exploited overcame them. Helping ones own brother is terrifying.
In a normal and sane world - brothers respect each other, care for one another, talk with one another and share things with one another. Psychopaths have no permanent relationships with anyone. For a psychopath every relationship is a means to an end. When a parent , sibling or child ceases to be useful try to get rid of him or her. The psychopath has no permanent ties with anyone. Expedience is all that comes to mind. Psychopaths are completely unable to reciprocate any emotion.
For them breaking promises, lying all the time.is a something they cannot stop doing. When they are expected to do something which happens to be a legal requirement - they will try to avoid it - escape if necessary. There are only two primal emotions fight or flight - they have no understanding of others.
When they are talking - they boast endlessly - but if someone calls their bluff they try to run and hide. Because all the things they were talking about are lies. They exaggerate things all time.
For instance they like to say they travel a lot - what they never tell anyone is that they cannot afford to stay where they have gone - will try to live with some relative or the cheapest and filthiest accommodation they can find and say it is fun to 'rough it out'. Which is absolute nonsense - if an emperor offered them to stay in one of his many palaces, they would grab the opportunity to live in the emperor's main suite - no 'roughing out' there. These are comfort loving parasites.
They have extremes either like the life of a soldier following routine to the letter or be in the opposite direction living a completely undisciplined, disorganised and careless life - the result is that - they are criminally negligent. The routine of a soldier is comforting because it does not involving sharing emotions - just follow a pattern - anything outside that routine results in rage and violence. Psychopaths happily adjust to prison life - because they cannot tell the difference emotionally in living a comfortable and free life and one in which they are put behind bars - there is no emotional connection with the world. A normal person would cry his eyes out be traumatised for being put in jail even for a day.

The falsehood of unrequited love

Unrequited love- is really sick. There are emotionally dead people - they are called sociopaths. - no amount of romantic overtures done to them will make them fall in love, because they do not what love is. They can give all the impression of falling in love - as long as it is a means to an end. I fell in love -many times - those three women did not and could not respond the same way. They were cold as ice. I was young then - thought there was something wrong with me. Or it was my fault.
Now I know better. How those women turned. Their careers mattered more to them than anything else. They have lied and cheated to the top and destroyed everyone who came in their rise. These women do not know love or any other emotion. They also can never have any genuine sexual desire. If they do have sex - it is to gain something. They also know how important it is to keep partner happy and be deserving of his love, affection and intimacy. She would be hurt and very upset if I would give the same to some other woam
I used to think that because I had wanted them for sex - I was wrong or bad. Yes I admit that I had those feelings - they are only natural. I was dealing a with a normal and sane woman she too would reciprocate those feelings.
Sane women genuinely seek sex and love or love and sex - it can be in any order. I just happened to have fallen in love with the wrong women - the insane kind - the sociopaths. Had I married any of them, they would have set preconditions - with respect to love and sex. Flying in a fit or rage if I ever fall in love with another woman would not be because they feel hurt or upset. It is because they see the other woman trying to do the same thing - use sex and love as means to do get something in return. Deep seated rage is as an aspect sociopaths.
They can never understand that many at times love and sex stand alone, they are there for their own sake. Sociopaths use shame, dishonour and disrespect to prevent something like that from happening. But when the sociopath woman is recognised for who she really is, she does not have any genuine feelings - she uses and abuses. A sociopath woman can just as easily accuse a man of raping her, if it serves her end. Such women - destroy the credibility of the genuine rape victims. Such woman would condemn her child for masturbating - at time not hesitate to hire prostitute as a baby-sitter.
Unrequited love is some sociopath invented - because it fit so well with their persona. They are unable to respond to love with love. Unable to have sex unconditionally. I consider those people very fortunate to have the right kind of partners who love and care for each other. Have sex with no preconditions. Are understanding and patient with each other and not be perpetually resentful and enraged. That is a dream relationship for me - because I have never had - but its perfect and ideal - in which true love prospers. A woman and a man marry when they have discovered that they deserve to have each other. A man denies sex to her - is punishment for her. She denies him sex its punishment for him. The same goes for love.
To a be complete person love and sex are part and parcel of a true intimate and close relationship. It can start with mere lust - but turn into genuine love. Or it starts with love and becomes lust. It is only natural that a woman should be passionate about a man, as a man should be passionate a woman.
Only sociopath make sound and seem bad - they cannot let things be. They are disconnected from the world of emotions and deep feelings - the expect others should also be.

My former friend Baber

I became Baber's friend - because it was his older sister Chikie who I was interested in, in my teenage years. She was pretty - it was unrequited love. Only did I realise she did not spurn my feelings - she had none of her own - was married for a year or so - her true passion was move up in her career and she move to the top, destroying everyone who was on her way - she is phenomenally rich. However Baber poor soul was not nearly as successful.
I remember always needing to extremely polite with him. It was not friendship it was a nuisance. With other friends I could say anything I liked, talk utter nonsense for hours, let our hairs and joke. With him there was nothing like that. I accepted him for what he was and let it be like. Then there were little things which I chose to ignore. Once I went to his place - he was feeding his grandmother. I was talking to with, he exploded in rage. I was taken aback.
"Can't you see I am feeding my Naany" He said. He made me feel inconsiderate. My other friends would get upset but would apologise for it. I waited for him to finish feeding his Nanny and then we talked. He acted as if he said nothing. I felt sorry for being inconsiderate. Another time I went to see him, he was leaving for something 'very important' - it was as if I was not there.
"You can stay if you want to, but I am going" He says in a standoffish manner. I left his house and went over to another friend.
"Baber is insane, how can he just brush you off like that?" my friend Ali said. I said nothing because there was really nothing to talk about that. I avoided, only when I was invited to his did I go, otherwise never drop in unexpected.
Some years later I find out he is getting married to a polio stricken young lady. I was married too by that time. One day he told me about his physical condition when I asked about him becoming a father. He said during his childhood he had the mumps. The marriage lasted a few years, he was in and out of jobs during that time. One day I discover his marriage had ended and whenever I asked about his ex-wife - he was spewing out how horrible she is. Some days later he pulled a disappearing - I did not see him for some years, I did not suspect that he had been hospital abroad and Chikie was footing the bill. He comes back telling me a complete lie that he was working in Dubai and then in Canada.
He comes back, finds a number lecturing jobs in some local universities. During this time - his second marriage is announced. All the cards were distributed. But the marriage never took place. The lies were tole why the marriage took place that her parents were responsible. Found out later -that her family had found that he suffered from a whole range of health issues (he wears adult diapers), which would make their daughter a nurse more than a wife.
Baber and his family dreamed up all kinds of oddball stories.
Baber married for the second time properly. Despite all the health issues, his wife a widowed woman accepted the proposal. He stayed in the country for some years - again vanished for another two years and I asked around eventually he had a complete nervous breakdown. Some kind bizarre psychotic attacks. During his sane moments he would send me emails - nothing about himself, but links from countless newspapers. He kept details about himself very secret. My email inbox was filled with his junk mail, which declared spam. Regardless of that he kept sending from some other email accounts, I declared them spam,. I blocked him from everywhere, because there was nothing to share.
I had enough of this mad person. Recently offers me a some freelance work - in which he was the primary beneficiary and I nothing to gain, which I flatly refused. He tells me about an interview - it was a ridiculous offer and I finally told him off. I was fed up of his lies and keeping secrets.
He is completely insane. Because of his poor health unable to be aware about the feelings of others. The brief moments he is fit enough move around, he starts making tall claims. I have had enough with him. He is someone I will drop from list of friends this year.

The mystery of Hitler

Hitler remains a mysterious figure for people in Asia - because the western 'World War' II remained mainly in Europe and some parts of Africa. For the people of South Asia - Britain was the main occupying force and everyone hated them. So whenever the British suffered a set back - the South Asians cheered. No one was allowed to praise the victories of Germany over Britain. The famous poet Josh Mali Abadi had written a verse in praise of Hitler, which landed him jail for a short time.

Hitler has been portrayed as the most horrible man in Western History - however the atrocities of the British were no less in Bengal. There are so many stories regarding this apparent villain - it makes no sense at all. There conspiracy theories and there are counter-conspiracy theories. Is Hitler a human being or some kind collective mindset or an institution. There are stories he was funded and supported by a whole bunch of people to get him power. Why would anyone want that to happen? What if Hitler had been killed or had died of natural causes - who would those financiers be backing then?

Then are stories is that Germany's policies were against the Jews rather Jewish interests - which is why he was blackballed and considered Public Enemy Number 1. That the Jews wanted to have Israel and wanted to control Germany economy. What has one got to do with the other - it is hard explain. According one individual there were only 460,000 Jews in Germany - if that were the case then where did the 5500, 000 come from The Allied powers did not reach Poland, they were stopped because the Soviet Union had captured 3/4 of Germany. They had colonised Eastern Europe. How could the Allies actually confirm that in some remote place in Poland called Aushwitz millions of Jews were exterminated? How could they trust the Soviet Union - which was their new enemy?

Later the massacre was called Genocide - because it was not a religious bias but a racial one - it is called Anti-Semitism. - if that were that were case then Arabs are also Semites they are Muslims and Christians alike. Bizarre stories of how male Semites were hunted down and found - by made to drop their pants and show if they were circumcised or not. If they were circumcised they would be captured and sent to death camps. Which either means they were hunting circumcised men and killing them - does that mean Christians are all un-circumcised? Not Christian rather non-Semites.

As regards financing the Hitler which also meant supporting the NAZI party - what was its purpose? Germany bounced back as an industrial power. It was moving in science and technology. In the 1936 Olympics the first TV was displayed. in Germany. Germany was decades ahead of the rest of the world. The Germans knew the wastefulness of a war which required physical involvement. Without building up a military force, simply start building nuclear tipped missiles. The Germans would have been only country in the world with this particular capability.
When war came making a city disappear with a nuclear bomb - would have the rest of the world surrendering without a shot being fired. Before this could happen - the Nazi party was fanatical enough to start a war in Europe and consequently be destroyed. The purpose of having Hitler meant that all the investment in nuclear weapons development were spent on a stupid war.

The consequence of the war was that the spoils of war, from Germany went to the Allies and the Soviet Union. USA, Britain, France and the Soviet Union acquired the most sophisticated aerospace technology. They all nuclear weapons. But the USA and the Soviet Union built them up to such a scale that mutually assured destruction was a possibility.

The ideas of a German scientists helped in building the first Sputnik, this terrified the West. Space based nuclear weapons became a reality. The USSR started a space programme which the USA followed the example. For some strange reason the USA was way behind the Soviet Union. The landing on the moon was not a viable - it was not followed by actual setting up a base. The USA's Skylab crashed back on Earth whereas the Soviet Union Mir space station was a resounding success.

The Soviet Union had grabbed the best German scientists. For all intents and purposes World War II was bogus. No one in South Asia cared and were the least bothered. If the French and British Empires are being destroyed - so what? If the French and British citizen were massacred - so what? The French and the British treated the people in their colonies in the same sub-human as the Germans claimed to have treated mainly the Jews. Actually the Germans never hated Jews, they hated the Semite race, they hated the Communists and gays.

The other story about financing Hitler was to make Germany able to defend Western Europe against the inevitable invasion of the Soviet Union. That did not work out so well it was a bloody disaster. Even the Soviet Union has been accused of being involved in the full blooded wiping out of Jews - nothing could be done about the Soviet Union because it was a super-power. How bizarre it is the the Communist Revolution was started with the help of the Jews in Russia. Why would the Soviet government want to wipe out Jews. I suppose they were no killing Jews they were killing Semites.

Blocking adult websites 2

Except for one article in the Daily Times, there has hardly been any reaction to the government ordering the blocking of adult websites. It is as if the people accept no one really cares or concerned. The most probable reason is that the people that this has become and on again off again thing. Facebook and You Tube have been banned then re-opened.

The people of Pakistan it seems consider their government to be clownish and insane. Taking it seriously is an absolute waste of time. It is only a matter of time when all the rules will be reversed because it is technologically impossible to stop things such as these. A few years ago a complete ban on Indian TV shows had started. Quickly people found their favourite alternative - the CD and the DVD. Some wag said Zardari wanted to favour some video shop owner who rents out CDs and DVDs and Internet adult website were not letting him do so. When that video shop owner has enough customers, the adult websites would be restored.

All this is for show - it is simply a temporary shut down. Considering how corrupt the government is, it will restore the adult websites - if it is paid enough to do so. Nothing is being done on any specific principles. There is no 'moral compass' guiding the government.

During General Musharraf's Facebook was banned on the outcry of blasphemy. The people behind this were the dairy farmers who were affected by the dairy products being imported from Holland. It had nothing to do with Islam. General Musharraf took the bait, shut down Facebook and stopped importing dairy products from Holland. The result was milk prices became 4 times what they originally were. They government was trapped and there was no going back.

No one minded when Facebook was restored no one really cares what it is in it, because the dairy farmers got what they really wanted - charge any amount of money for milk.Strangely enough though - Pakistan produces more milk than it can consume. If that were taken into account - milk prices would crash. Deliberate shortage is being created as in everything else.

What the real reason for blocking adult websites is will be known soon. Those websites will be reopened without much fanfare. Still using these methods are criminal and should be stopped.

The government has ruined its image in practically every field - by resorting to rampant corruption. The result is that Pakistan Railways is bankrupt. Pakistan International Airlines may close down soon. The cronies of Zaradari and Gilani have been given opportunities to steal as much as they can from wherever they can. New ministries and departments are being made for different lackeys - so that they can loot the country as much as they want.
Since the cronies cannot be kicked out and outright theft cannot be stopped - the only thing Zardari can do is tell the ISPs to do is block all Adult websites. Which has proven to be a monumental task and has resulting in the crashing of the Internet. General Musharraf tried the same thing with disastrous consequences. It is next to impossible to block thousands of websites. A few can be, but not all. of them. When General Musharraf tried - it was the beginning of his eventual downfall.
This fake morality can only spare the government only a short time. Because people never like their freedom be taken away like this. At least most Pakistan do not like. Some may think it is something nice- unfortunately is sheer stupidity. Instead of trying to solve the problem of the country - the government is resorting to this window dressing.

If I hate something - I cannot express it on social network. If something bothers me - I cannot say it. When I know something is wrong - I have two choices - write it down in my journal - which I do more often when I come across the fact I have been blocked out. I am angry - I will use my journal - no one can stop me from doing that. No moderator, no administrator.
No one. Its just me and my thoughts. My emotions and my feelings, written down using ink. No I will not use the computer to do that, who knows what kind technology there which can be transmitted from a mere word processor.
Only those moderate are those who are afraid what I say is right. The answer are placard, leaflets and what I write my private journal.What kind of world is it - in which there is such thing thought control? One should restrain ones emotions and thoughts.
One should not express something, which presumably will hurt the feelings of others. The truth hurts a great deal - because it happens to be true. What a strange world we live in, in which people do not want censorship yet at the same time they want thought control.
It seems that only a handful of people - the so called opinion leaders determined what people should think and how they should act. Those opinion leaders have infiltrated everything, they also determine what should be reported. The concept of embedded reporters, embedded with the armed forces - so that they should never report anything which should not report anything which will undermine the security of the soldiers. In the Vietnam war - the media exposed the My Lai incident in Vietnam.
Now only those things could be reported in which are cleared by the generals in command - the freedom of the press went to the dogs/ The Internet was the boon of the information age. Soldiers initially started posting personal information about what they had or were experiencing in combat. That was carefully and cleverly sabotaged. Soldiers who sent any email or chatted on friends on-line was punished. News and information about the wars was stopped. Chat websites which allowed a free exchange of news and opinions were torn down. No one knows how many My Lai type incidents have occurred - but this time never reported.
New websites emerged which were carefully monitored, because had not done fighting wars. It needed opinions which favoured.
But then Wikileaks emerged - destroying all the defences which had been carefully placed to prevent people from accessing those things which had been banned. The USA is democratic country and supposedly free country - yet people there only know what they are told. There is no real news thus the 'Mainstream Media' is hated when the truth is found out from some other source. So if I post something which is not approved by the 'Opinion Leaders' it is inevitable I would be blocked out. Because I may made a hate comment. Yes hate it when people are being killed. I hate it when atrocities are committed and they are considered the work of heroes.

Plot to assassinate God

HHaving as much money as God is the not the same thing as being God and creating anything and owning it. Gaddafi was killed today. Osama bin Laden is said to have been killed, this year. Some years ago Saddam Hussain was killed, all his sons killed, just like Gadaffi's sons were recently.
The reasons for all these wars may seem mundane as oil, the control over the riches on the planet. Economic reasons. It could be something very different. I had met astrologist in 2004 and was fairly accurate in his predictions. He had said if the war in Iraq and Afghanistan do not end, then 2008 the USA will suffer a major financial set back. The astrologer died in 2006 - never get to see how true he was.These wars on the surface may be religious in nature or political but they have a greater meaning. 2012 is cited as the end of the world. There is a kind desperation - conquering a country is one thing, but actually seeking and killing the leader of the country and wiping out his family is bizarre.
The people who have been assassinated and their families wiped out is there is terrible fear. It may sound insane - but there is a fear that God is walking the Earth and will reveal his presence, or he will be recognised by those who have some kind of spiritual gift. He is a human being. The people feared to be God or their children being Him.
All this has to be done before 2012 otherwise it will be the beginning of the end. The fact Zionists have created Israel is a foothold on the Middle East. The purpose reaps tremendous profits. But with growing poverty in Europe and North America, because missteps and the ensuing resentment against the way the system has collapsed. The violence in the streets of the world are not an accident. Absolute greed has taken over. Unemployment and homelessness has increased. People have committed suicide because they have lost all hope.
These wars are very different. The people who control the wealth of the world are themselves scared.They do not know - what will happen. The date may coincide with some dark prophecy. Not a Mayan one or that of anyone. It is is mere coincidence that the Mayan prophecy was the same. It is a fact that the world is heavily in debt and there is no way to pay it back, yet the wars go on. In some parts of the world people are dying because of famine.
The dark prophecy may reveal the fact that the world of greed and turmoil will come to a crashing end. The wealth and the order of the world would be restored. The dark prophecy - people call it a satanic prophecy it has many names. There is story of the Black Pope, he is known, what his function is during the 'end of days' is unknown.
But what is going to happen is that no one will commit suicide any more because of losing hope of ever going back to the life they had known. The most incredible thing is that the God has not been identified, it would have resulted in his assassination - because He is an ordinary man. No one knows who he is. What language He speaks and what is his exact location. Since He is in human form - the Angels are guarding from harm He will face lots of troubles in His life as a human being. Atheists are some of his best friends because they do not believe He exists. Agnostics, theists and spiritual people will know Him.
Those who rule the world with the money they have, only have a part of the dark prophecy. If they had the complete one - then 'end of days' could have been delayed. The wars which are being fought are truly powerful spiritual wars - which has nothing to do with any religion. In order to know God one has to be deeply spiritual.
Wealth would be a requirement for God - but He will not take it to have it. He will create and make the poor and impoverished rich enough a normal and happy life. Up till now money had to be stolen in order to have wealth. The exact opposite will happen - that will threaten the existence of those who steal. The day will come when God will face His enemies because spiritual people would betray Him uncertain what they have seen is truly what it is. The assassins will arrive well armed. When the angels pick them out individuallyt their armies will run for their lives, leaving all their weapons. Those who know Him will stay, unafraid only repentant over their action and what they were about to do.
As all human beings, they have a certain life span - He will leave the body He had inhabited. But leaving the world just and honest. Still things can be very different. God may decide the World and let it ruin itself - if things cannot be changed. The order in which events will unfold will be left to the forces which are already at play. Hopefully that will not happen.

So it is fairly expensive to make calls. The advertised call charges hide the actual charges. Why should cell phone companies charge income tax from its subscribers? Income tax is on the income the cell phones and it has nothing to do with the subscribers, unless cell phone companies are committing tax fraud. They are hiding their actual income from the auditors and the tax collectors.

Neocolonialism and war's end

Afghans were attacked against once again by foreign forces in 2001. Only 13 years ago a foreign invader had left their land. They were ready as they always could be. It was not running to the hills, the hills was their countryside and their most powerful defence. The Afghans never question why they are being invaded they are ready to fight. Their country littered with weapons of the previous invader and weapons provided by an ally.
The invader faced unbelievable resistance. All tactics and stratagems adopted against the previous which were tried and tested - were being used against the new one. The young 20 year old or so soldiers - of the invaders were too small to know about the previous war in the country and did not know what they were getting into. Even the senior officers had no experience fighting here. If the country was a flat plain then fighting would be easier - it was mountainous terrain all the way and there was a sniper on every hilltop and mines left by the Soviet Union below.
Soldiers were being picked out and shot. The mines were adding to the problems. Parts of tanks were destroyed and made unusable. The tank driver and the gunner stayed as long as they could, as soon as they got out they were shot dead. The Afghans knew the terrain like the back of their hands. Hit and run was an art they had mastered centuries ago. The invader sent its planes to bomb specific places, but this was not Vietnam. The Afghans inside mountains, the planes could be shot down by the very weapons supplied by the invader. Those weapons were useful in this war.
The invader had lots of money - but more advanced weaponry designed for air and ground combat all came crashing down. It was loss of life and loss of great deal of money. The Afghans tortured the new invader in the same way as they tortured the previous one. It was a fate worse than death. The invader would be skinned alive by having his skin pulled off from his body with camels peeling the skin off in four different directions. Since it was an undeclared war and no Geneva Convention applied. The female soldiers of the invader were raped endlessly - which made them completely insane or they died.
Another way to get required information when dealing with Soviet generals, turn them into addicts. They would divulge all the secrets to the Afghans for their next fix. When it was assured that all the information which has needed was acquired, the generals would be given a fatal dose.
Amidst the hilltop shooting - soldiers would run for cover, they would find a cave. The cave was not a safe place - because anyone who entered it would fall in a pit at the bottom of which there spears pointing upwards. This has been going on for 10 years. Several hundred thousand invaders are dead, wounded or insane. The true figures will never be reported because those are military secrets. The Afghans do not care how many they have killed as long as they have gotten rid of the invaders. This war has been the most expensive and has resulted in the destruction of the US economy.
The US went to war against Iraq - that war was the result of absolute greed. The same can be said about the war in Libya. The US and its NATO allies are in a very dangerous situation - they cannot fight if their economies are going down. In order to hold on to their empire by force will cost lots of money.
The ultimate cost of this neocolonialism is widespread poverty. Perhaps this will be the last days when any country will try to colonise another, provided the lessons are learnt.

Can a nation which has in recent years destroyed cities and killed so many people be respected? Does such a country deserve sympathy? Bombing Libya is another example of absolute about indifference and hate which prevails in Britain. Britain has killed people for all kinds of reasons. Not a single one of them justified. Britain should have been destroyed long ago - a land of buccaneers. Piracy was considered a noble profession. Britain sold opium to China.
The barbarians from this island spread like a disease across the world. This disease is slowly dying. Britain crossed all limits of barbarity and then proclaiming themselves as the most civilised in the world. The arrogance and smugness has not gone. Their stiff upper lips will remain. They will justify every crime.

US objectives and Pakistan leadership crisis

During the Cold War - the USA used Pakistan for its ends. Before the USA had set up its spy satellite network, it planned to fly it space planes. The country for this purpose was Pakistan. From Pakistan the plane would take cover the USSR and land in the USA. In order to pull this off - Pakistan had to become dependable ally. Which meant that Pakistan's government should have to agree to this arrangement. The USA did not want to compensate Pakistan for the use of the air base. In order to keep it 'Top Secret' - Pakistan's press had to be completely controlled.
Democracy ended in Pakistan on the behest of the USA. Press freedom also vanished. General Ayub was the president of the country and his foreign minister was ZA Bhutto. The U2 spy planes flew from Peshawar air base. Since the press was in complete control of General Ayub's regime - any journalist who stumble upon the 'secret US air base' - such a news item would never be published. Someone did, he was captured and tortured into silence. But the U2 missions came to an abrupt end when one of these spy planes was shot down by the Soviet Union. The pilot of the U2 spy plane Gary Powers was caught. The presence of the air base in Pakistan was 'discovered'.
However the USA's prowess in building space based spy satellites became more advanced. the USA did not care about the air base in Pakistan and abandoned - they even got rid of General Ayub - he stepped down and General Yahya took over.
The USA needed the Western half of Pakistan for a future conflict with the USSR. Which meant that Pakistan's Eastern half had to be severed by any means. The USA had a hand in the break up of Pakistan. Funding an uprising and subsequent massacre to quell the massacre. After Western Pakistan remained the only Pakistan - ZA Bhutto was heading it as prime minister and civilian martial administrator. ZA Bhutto was following the guidelines given to him by the USA. Press freedom must never exist in Pakistan - it was against US interest.Pakistan public opinion was very dangerous for the USA's long term military objectives. After Bhutto was removed by General Zia - the first Afghan war started. Pakistanis were accept an extremist Islam. The press and TV were manipulated to accept this. The laws of the country were made to suit this objective. A moderate and liberal Islam was not in the interest of the USA - which had trained Mujahideen to fight the Soviet Union in Afghanistan. Islamic fighters - The Mujahideen trained and supported by the USA. Volunteers such Osama bin Laden fought the Soviet Union with their own money. These were the close allies of the USA.
The war ended.The USA no longer needed General Zia - his plane crashed. After that there was brief period of 'controlled democracy' which the USA wanted, till it could find a suitable replacement for General Zia. But all these years of battering from the USA - Pakistan became fed up. The existing leadership is paralysed. It wants to help the USA but does not know what to do. The USA wants to leave Afghanistan but blundered by saying that Osama was killed in Pakistan. Contrary to the news that he was dead years ago. The USA knows this and has created a huge mess. The leaders of Pakistan are in quandary. There is nothing anyone can do. This could be the time when Pakistan will disconnect from the USA completely. No longer take orders from the USA. A failed leadership in the USA has brought about this and there is no going back.

The USA imposed sanctions on Iran after the Shah was ousted. The result of those sanctions was that Iran's main export which is oil was stopped - at least the USA was not importing Iranian oil. Libya was charged with terrorism and trying build nuclear weapons - sanctions were imposed on it too. But Libya managed to bribe itself out of that mess.
Some years later Iraq and Iran were at war. Iraq needed money to fund its war - it bought the latest weapons the USA was willing to offer. As long as the war lasted- There was more Iraqi oil into the world market. There was oil glut- the price of oil crashed. The oil companies in the USA were the ones which suffered the most, which was unforgivable.
The oil glut was worse than an oil embargo. The oil embargo made the oil companies rich a glut made them poorer. The solution lay in a controlled flow of oil, particularly Iraq. Iraq suffered an oil for food system. It had to supply oil in return for food.
In 1998 both India and Pakistan conducted nuclear tests. The USA quickly imposed sanctions on both countries as a way to punish the two. What was forgotten by the policy makers was that these countries were the major suppliers of food to the world. The sanctions backfired when the stocks of food started dwindling. The USA had two options either sell whatever stock of food it had, for an increasingly higher price - or lift the sanctions against India and Pakistan so that food is supplied and the price of food comes down. The sanctions were lifted, but the damage had been done. Both countries had to recoup their losses - the price of food remained high. Food is a major export - instead of industrial goods and manufactured items. Pakistan exports, wheat, rice, sugar cane, a whole range of vegetables. Milk - dairy consumption is not as high as it is in the rest of the world. So sanctions against India and Pakistan was a terrible idea to start with.
Some years later a major flood hit Pakistan - this made the price of food rise, because major farm land was damaged.
As it was the world was barely able to survive as a result of high food prices - floods resulted in a major food crisis. In Arab countries governments were toppled, some even danger of going in that direction. People can live without oil -but not without food.
However the matter of oil is that oil companies not the countries are reaping obscene profits. The upheaval in Libya is a sign that the world has to choose between its people and the oil companies. In Iraq oil being stolen and being sold at a ridiculously high price.

There are just about too many non-governmental organisations (NGOs) - apparently working on several projects. The ones working on the problems of women are myriad. There are others working to free those people who have been detained indefinitely without charges. There are NGOs for the environment and wildlife preservation. For every single problem which exists there are several NGOs
If you ask them what they have achieved, other than having their reports published in newspapers - they have no answer. In the recent Women's Day - the rape and abuse of women was highlighted - how about talking about women who made difference? Women who have done things in the scientific field, in the arts in different fields f human endeavour.
NGOs stick to their agenda - on paper their work looks very noble and worthwhile - the problem is the issues once resolved - the purpose of the existence of NGOs ceases. Running NGOs is a business - money comes from people who believe in their cause - some of it comes genuine organisations which are working on similar projects and some of it comes from dubious sources.
It becomes apparent when certain NGOs make a big deal about what they are doing. Their work is not so much to help as it is to flood the media with negative images about any country. A campaign to create a negative image.

Right up to class 8 - schools can teach more or less whatsoever they like to. They introduce a whole range subjects. Some schools even have art and music teachers. Surprisingly there is even geology. There is no bar what you can learn what you cannot. The school has a limited number of students in each class. So if a student's performance is to be gauged it will from the those 45 to 60 students. The teacher is both teacher and examiner. So she (or he) knows more about the student than anyone else. If the student has some difficulty - a mental or physical problem - it would be conveyed to the parents directly. Many learning problems are related to poor eyesight, undue fatigue, some kind of illness. Which the teacher can tell the parents and the parents in turn can make the proper arrangements to help their child
But as soon the student is in 9th class - everything which happened before comes to an abrupt end - it as if it never existed.
Students are treated as if they are machines not human beings. What counts then are the Board Exams and ridiculous curriculum. All of a sudden the number of subjects are reduced to a handful and are divided in Science, Commerce and Art. Students are not allowed to ask questions, they are supposed start memorising their textbooks, without understanding what they contain.
It is the worst time for knowledge to be broken into different component parts, it is the time when students have more access to more information - it should go on for several classes not just 9, 10, 11 and 12. there should be a 13th class also. They should seek knowledge not memorise it. They should be asking questions, try to learn and understand. But they are never given the opportunity. This will happen when brain dead sycophantic bureaucrats take over and make absolutely worthless rules.

The more subjects are taught the more students know and understand.

Memorising should never be the aim, the purpose should be to convey an answer in the best one can. Presently the way questions are asked in exams are:

When they say answer in your own words - what they really mean is repeat everything which is in the text book. Know the exact chapter where the answer is. Know it word for word, punctuation for punctuation mark. It does not literally mean your own words like a student should give a concise reply in his (her) words. Which actually be the case. The student should give the central idea. There is no reason why an exam should last three hours, when all the questions have to be answered in the student's own words. It should be only for one hour.
The other way questions are asked in exams are cryptic - so they the students have to first decipher them. The purpose is to confuse the student and should not be able to tell what the question is on the face of it. Only a fucking sociopath would make questions like this (the purpose is to make it impossible for the majority of the students get through the exam - if all the students go through then there would be an employment problem, most of the students should get very low grades or they fail).
Give hints and clues in the exam - but they have to be ordered in a specific manner - which only the examiner knows and the student has to work at to understand.
The contest of the students is with thousands of others. Since one person can check all the papers, the task of checking papers is sub-contracted to paper checkers. For each paper they check (most of the time do not) they get Rs 100 per paper. A paper checker ends up with a Rs 1 lakh. How the paper was checked no one really knows (I saw a paper checker check a bagful of papers on a train - he did not give enough time to any paper - less than a minute thenhe was checking another - he must have checked up to more than a hundred papers before got down at the next station). How can such system do justice for a students efforts is anyone's guess.

Unlike sports, in which someone should be a winner, education is different. Education is not a game or a sporting event. The parents of every student pay to have their child to learn well enough so that he can get through the exam which should not be difficult to understand. They pay so that teachers give their child the required attention and their child should be able to understand. If the end result of their child's education is going low marks or failure, then it is entirely the fault of the school or college. (Sociopaths however view exams also as deadly contest - for them winning is everything 'losers deserve to die'). The most important question is this - what do those people do who fail? Should they give up on life because they cannot get a job? Is an examination result the end all and be all? That is what people are made to feel, the truth the kind of education we have and the system of examination does not reflect the true talent and ability of the individual.
What the existing education is trying to suppress the potential of the people. Whether people liked or not the fashion industry took off. Choreographers are in demand. Good photographers are sought after. We have some of the most brilliant scientist in the world. We are not mediocre by any standard we can invent and we can innovate all that it needs is some motivation.

I know I have written too many times about the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) but considering they way this bastard organisation is conducting itself - no matter how much it is condemned it is simply not enough. The banning of international channels was widely criticised - but the fucking idiots in PEMRA were not the least concerned about this. After this was done, content of local channels begun to be monitored. news channels in particular including entertainment channels and lately advertisements which appear in them.
These shit-eaters in PEMRA have nothing better to do than snatch as much freedom as they can. As if freedom is something to be trifled with. The ultimate goal of course to ban all private channels and only have Pakistan Television as the only TV channel. The way freedom is being taken away, it can be taken back with tremendous force. Everyone who works in PEMRA would made accountable for their violation of fundamental human rights, violating the constitution and going the basic values of democracy. PEMRA should not underestimate the power of the people - when the people want entertainment and news, it should come with no strings attached.
A fucking authoritarian entity like PEMRA should be burned down to the ground if it asserts too much. Anyone or any organisation which tries to crush the freedom of the people deserves nothing better, these people along with their families should be exterminated so that freedom should be prevail and forces of intolerance, ignorance and religious fanaticism should cease to exist once and for all.

It is probably because I have a CRT monitor instead of a LCD monitor I am having hard time being able to see my Email, let alone read it. I have difficulty logging out too. Who came up with the bright idea of having the email on top of the screen and below the inbox a small area to read the Email, unless you click it and it becomes large, but then it covers the everything else, unless you clicks shut the Email. Some still use CRT monitors in this day and age, if anyone cares to listen. Logging out of ones Email account is a nuisance, in most cases it is impossible to locate. Everyone is in a rush to have a better email unable to decide what to keep and what to throw away.

How can the can government be trusted to do something like that honestly? The government has been accused of being absolutely corrupt and on regular basis new corruption scandals are exposed.

The masters of Pakistan's fate say do not want to create the ' wrong' impression about the image about Pakistan. in terms of religion, in terms of politics and in terms the overall image of Pakistan in the eyes of the world.

Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely it is said. The media is expected to careful about reporting about corruption - because lots of people who choose to live in obscurity would be exposed. A truly free press would expose these criminals. Strangely enough the media has to constantly has struggle to defined the nature of the crime.

Because of the control over the media, even entertainment is denied. Entertainment has nothing to do with corruption which takes place on a regular basis. To say entertainment is corruption is a false argument. Entertainment has nothing to do with it . It is easy pass the blame on to people who make a business of regularly exposing themselves, instead blaming those hiding behind a veil of lies, theft, extortion and murder.

The censorship and media regulation has become a hopeless undertaking.

Entertainment is to excite, entice and be enjoyable and it caters to every age and sex. For too long the country has been held hostage to the jaundiced perceptions of the mullahs. If a TV play were to written about the character of mullahs in Pakistan - it would be a very juicy subject.

Pakistanis are fed up of the the sanctimonious sermons of mullahs, regardless of which they may belong. Mullahs are paedophiles and resort to violence at the slightest provocation. The best way to deal with them is to ignore them completely. Those who insist on public decency only goes to show that they are hiding something dark and sinister. Have yet to meet an honest mullah in my life. If they do no have answers about anything as regards to religion, they dodge the questions or go into fits of rage.

The state should not interfere with entertainment. There are kinds of entertainment, it is not necessary that everyone would like it, but it does not mean that it should be banned. Pakistanis frequent porn websites on a regular basis, why not have porn on TV? It should be there because it is the ultimate expression of freedom No media regulation please, no censorship please - we are Pakistanis.
A means of thought control is propaganda - it has proven time and again to be the most to be worst kind of information control. It is no longer possible to impose an illusion on a society. There is so many ways to generate information and to access it. It is no longer a viable option to ban the internet, because other countries around Pakistan are way ahead in this respect. The time has come that freedom should not be denied.Many websites are currently inaccessible in order provide a semblance of control. Many technical experts said that the Internet collapse some years back was because the stated decided to block all access. Sanctimonious assholes as they are known these days. Banning publications, TV channels have the opposite effect. The legitimacy of the state is then questioned. Enough is enough the fatwa fanatics the mad mullahs should leave Pakistan for good. Some mothers are so excited about pregnant, they send the ultra-sounds of the baby they are going deliver. So a person on the Internet even before being born. Will remain alive in cyber-space long after he is no more. Emails accounts he sent photograph of himself sent it to all the people he knows. His voice would be preserved too.

The ones taken when he was baby and a child were beyond his control, but those too would be floating around in cyberspace. He cannot control that information, because it is in someone else's account elsewhere. Perhaps that someone has deleted that information. While others may have kept around. The truth is that there is just about too much information - much of it mundane and pointless that leads people to distraction.

People are more prone removing excess information than preserving it. Some hardly bother and it remains there - email accounts have tremendous storage capacity. So all that information about a single individual remains in place.

From the day people are about to be born, their birth, their childhood and every stage of their life would be recorded by someone or by themselves till they become very old and die.

I suppose the present and the future is filled with the prospect of definite cure for a variety diseases. So many people who have been online since birth, they may benefit from modern medical research.

It is really strange that the countries which are absolutely squeaky clean are the USA, Canada and the members of NATO; Whereas the rest of the world is absolutely corrupt in varying degrees. Some of the world's poorest countries are listed. The factors which lead to corruption are the following:

Hunger
Poverty
Unemployment
Prostitution
Slavery
Drugs
Racial discrimination
Religious prejudice

No country in the world can ever claim to have gotten rid of these. The countries which claim they have are lying. The world's richest countries also have slums and tent cities. Just because beggars are not seen on the streets in these First World Countries, it does not mean that absolute poverty does not exist. These people are removed from plain sight.

The corruption stories run rampant, the purpose is to make people miserable about their own countries and consider immigrating. The purpose to offer something better to the immigrants, the purpose absolutely criminal.

The First World Countries are selling their respective country's citizenships. They end result is not offering a better life or anything like that, it is the same squalid living, except it is in a different country. The people who have been conned into this nonsense, do not know what they are getting themselves into. For the most part people who immigrate have burnt their boats, there is no turning back, even if they wanted to, they would not be able to because they spent all their savings on this foolish trip, not realising that they were fooled. This is the biggest corruption. The people who immigrate are working in the most menial jobs available and at low wages, ones which would accept. These people are not aware about their rights under the law so work for endless days and nights. This is slavery and the First World Countries condone, because it suits them perfectly

War is corruption in itself. The USA war in Iraq was based on false intelligence, if that is not corruption, then what is. The Afghans wanted a better deal for oil supplies, the US oil businessmen were not happy - the USA was fighting Afghanistan in order to 'punish' it, ten years on - the war is still raging with no end in sight. The government set up by the USA in Afghanistan has been accused of being corrupt. All countries which puppet regimes of the USA are corrupt. Which only goes to show that the USA too is the same. By this standard the USA is the most corrupt country in the world. All the countries fighting in it are equally corrupt.

Transparency International for all intents and purposes is disinformation of some intelligence agency in the First World. the perfect weapon to demoralise people in their respective countries.

The new - old US policy - is 'bomb Pakistan if does not comply'. The same theme which President Bush had. "Are you with us, or are you against us". Someone called Armitage said - 'We will bomb Pakistan into the stone age". The USA has used Pakistan, ever since General Ayub Khan was made the first military dictator of Pakistan by the USA - to do all kinds of things. The Peshawar air force base was used to launch U2 spy planes to spy on the former Soviet Union.

Pakistanis have never liked dictators and General (Field Marshal) Ayub Khan was removed. The USA was terrified the prospects of democracy completely taking over Pakistan. So quickly General Yahya was made the new military dictator. Bhutto the first civilian to take power was hated and feared by the US establishment, they waited on the sidelines to make a single mistake to have him overthrown. General Zia-ul-Haq took over with the blessings of the USA and blown away after he ceased to be of any use. Pakistan was not freed from military control. Indirectly the military had a stranglehold on Pakistani politics on the behest of the USA. General Musharraf took over directly and helped the USA enter Afghanistan. Musharraf's return to politics could indicate that the existing politicians are moving in the direction which the USA does not like. People in Pakistan are openly criticising drone attacks on civilian populace. NATO is making incursions with its helicopters.

From all appearances, the USA wants to have a large area to operate and should not be stopped from doing anything beyond Afghanistan's borders. If and when Musharraf comes to power and the US starts bombing Pakistan - Musharraf will be the first victim of the people of Pakistan. The US will have two choices before stop the attacks, or openly declare war on Pakistan. This war would be destructive for Pakistan but will definitely damage the USA and its interests all over the world.

Facebook the social networking site requests its users to add friends or have a circle friends. Yet as it is the nature of those who absolute hypocrites - the purpose is not enable people to come together, it is deny them access to any social contact. Say one thing, do exactly the opposite. Facebook should enable adding people not denying it. It has happened so often that it has become irritating, what is the point of Facebook, make enemies and manipulate them or make friends?

For all intents and purposes Facebook hopeless in the task of Social Networking. Instead of encouraging people to meet people it is doing exactly the opposite. Perhaps there is language barrier and huge cultural difference. If choose add people, that is precisely what I like to do. In Facebook and chat sites that I have seen, the purpose is not exchange ideas and points of view, it is dead silence and indifference. This is a sign of a disastrous social attitude. Meeting people for the sake of meeting them is something can only understood if the cultural barriers were not so wide. Friendship is for its own sake - not to gain or benefit anything. I suppose this is never understood. The madness that lingers in Western societies is 'Do Not Touch', 'Do Not Contact', 'Everyone Is Invisible' -'You Are Alone In This World' - this can be seen in Europe and USA. People keep minimum contact with each other, because it could be misconstrued to mean something else. Whereas in the East, in Asia physical contact is a part of the way people interact. It terrifies the people in the West. Essentially Facebook has been made for those in the West not for those who live in Asian or African countries, where physical, non-sexual, contact is essential part of communication. When will people learn. I want to make friends for the sake of making friends, nothing else.

Floods and the military budget

The floods could be a blessing in disguise. Under military rule - ever since General Ayub took over the military expenditure expanded and it was set in stone that it should remain 80% of the annual budget, come hell or high water. That leaves the government with 20% -10% for attempting to pay back the loans given by the World Bank, IMF and other organisations. The remaining 10% is left development, infrastructure, education, health and to run the government. Since the military is unwilling to let government have more money for Pakistan all kinds of problems have arisen.

The washing away of roads and bridges is because the miltary is not concerned with progress and prosperity of Pakistan. What the military does not realise is that unless Pakistan prospers - the miltary will also not be survive. Military budget allocation has to be sensible. Despite this allocation - Pakistan lost most of Siachin to India. In the 1965 War, there was a chance to win back Kashmir. General Ayub was afraid the war hero general would take over from him. The military lost in East Pakistan.
The collapse of the infrastructure from these floods is entirely the fault of military. The military has not allowed diversion of funds; to ensure the maintenance of of the roads and bridges. The building of additional brides. Pakistan today looks as if war had broken out and the devastation is because of it.
Malaysia is example how a Pakistan should be. Malaysia has invested a great deal in education and health. Its military has never interfered in anything, for this reason Malaysia is way ahead of Pakistan in almost everything. Ayub Khan scuttled our education system because he had to keep the feudal lords happy.
Businesses have stopped investing in setting new factories, because electricity prices have become ridiculously expensive. The government has to pay back foreign loans, but is unable to do so because the military does not want it budget shaved. A civilian government should set priorities on the budget allocations. A military budget is only useful in war time, not otherwise. Many people hoped after we had become a nuclear powered country, the size of the military would be reduced - but that never happened.
The first priority now is that Pakistan has to recover from the damage caused by the floods. If the military budget remains at the same level, then there is no chance that Pakistan would ever recover from this extensive damage - in the next ten years. The military is not separate from Pakistan should not consider that it has the right to a huge budget, which does help in Pakistan's quick recovery.

We should start paying back all the loans and never be burdened with them anymore. When Japan took its one only loan from the World Bank, it was for starting its Bullet Train service. As soon as Bullet Train became profitable, Japan returned everything it owed to the World Bank.
Things are so pathetic in Pakistan. Ever since country has come into existence no new railway system has been started. There is no direct railway system between Karachi to Quetta. So much so development was made in direction of the development of an inter-city railway in the whole of Pakistan. The Super Highway between Karachi and Hyderabad in a state of disrepair. Once the journey used to take one and half hour, now takes six hours or more. The military is hell bent on discouraging inter-city road travel.

Military acts as if it is an enemy of Pakistan. Because the military does allow enough funds for for mega-projects to come into existence. The flood water is an indispensable resource. If in the outskirts of Karachi there was a gigantic water reservoir, it would help the people of Karachi with a great deal of clean drinking water. Surprisingly though, the most badly hit area in Karachi are those which are administered by military itself. There is no guarantee of continued reliable water supply, which indicates that the military is also not interested in helping its own officers.

Pakistan can only prosper if the military leaves the budget making to the civilian government. The military will have to justify its budget allocation. China did not become the world's second biggest economy by outlandish electricity prices. China kept its electricity to the bare minimum, so that Chinese businesses can flourish not disappear entirely or discourage further investment, which is exactly has started happening.

We have assess our priorities over and above else. Do we want to overspend on the military in times of peace? Or do we move ahead become rich industrialised country with factories all over Pakistan, employing millions of Pakistanis.?

The Great Flood is here and now

For the followers of religion and the true believers, the Great Flood has returned. It was revealed that when Noah encountered the Great Flood, he built the ark to save people. It was a new beginning, order had to be restored. Mankind faced the greatest peril at that time and Noah was their saviour. Noah’s name is in the religious books. The Great Flood was to tell the world about the great power of God and his unification. Only true believers would this Great Flood portends. Mankind has again reached the edge of the precipice. Like the rivers change their course, mankind can also avoid the course it is has adopted. This time humanity has been left to choose the direction it wants to go. Instead of going the way of Matually Assured Destruction and the Nuclear Holocaust. This can be avoided and humanity will saved. Otherwise this Great Flood is the Great Flood of apocolypse and the beginning of the End of Days. The Great Flood is year zero. From this year onward humanity can avoid going in the direction it has set itself for. This flood will purify souls. The sins will be washed away. Those come to this holy land will be find themselves cleansed of all the wrong they have done.

The last chance God has given humanity has to make the right decision. This is not a foregone conclusion. Human beings can decide what is best for them.

On another note. PAK is an acronym but eventually became the name of a new country was to be made it was decided that it should be called Pakistan. Derogatively called the land of the pure. Zardari going to UK?

Zardari is visiting the UK despite the fact that he had condemned and snubbed by the British prime minister. "God! has the man no shame?" He is also going at the time when Pakistan is suffering the worst flooding since 1929. He should have some consideration for the people of Pakistan at this time. Up to 600 people have died because of these floods. No relief is forthcoming.

Which is something he probably can never do, unless there is massive bribe for him somewhere.

The fact he is going only to Britain is not for the benefit of Pakistan, but check out all the loot he has gathered in Britain. He is also going in an official plane filled with his lackeys and his 'friends'. This will cost Pakistan about $500 million. Money which could be used to provide relief to those who are starving because of these floods. But does President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari care? Not one bit.

The USA is not too happy with existing government and Pakistan on the whole.

No one in Pakistani TV channels has studied journalism. They do not know the first thing about it. The concept of Redundancy is an essential aspect. Redundancy is a mass communication term, those who do know what this term means, need not bother. But for those who do, yesterday was example of Redundancy gone amok. Every single channel was reporting the same thing throughout the day.

The air crash was a sad thing to happen, but it does not justify any sensible news organisation go on telecasting it. The weirdest part of it was that, none of them had any facts with them. They were stuck with the plane had crashed and an attempt to rescue any survivors was going on. What many people missed the point that why had so many people showed up at where the plane had crashed? None of these news organisations have the questions Five Ws and the Single H. Because do not know how to ask and what to ask and who to ask. They are incompetent in every aspect of the field of journalism. This is not journalism it only crass sensationalism.

No one should have been allowed get there, the airliner's fuel could have flared up again at any time. Most of them were a whole bunch of grave robbers including the media. The media was imagining it was minting hay whilst the sun shined (although it was raining).

The families of the people who died in the crash it is only natural that would have switched off TV and others who seen the report did not the inclination see any more. The people at the crash site were there to steal whatever they could find was along side the aircraft. From the suitcases all over the place. They were not there rescue anyone. If any one was alive he could easily have killed by those who were pretending be rescuers. It may be sad day, but the scavengers were waiting to snatch whatever valuable they get their hands on. Credit cards, cash, jewellery and other stuff. Newly married couple who were also killed in the crash must have had cameras and every on board obviously have watches and cell phones. Why should such things be reported? The reasons why such things should never be reported is, it automatically attacks even more graves robbers no genuine rescuers.

None of the TV channels ever bothered to consider this - which is blatant journalistic blunder of the first order. It is regular thing, people who may try to help people who are victims of any accident, are there only to rob the victims. Any news conscious and real journalist would have seen the entire story from another angle. People are not as honest and decent out as they are made to appear. They are there with ulterior intentions. TV news channels are bunch of IDIOTS! These are not news organisations they are merely sensationalists

3. Banking secrecy, the money saved or withdrawn from a bank should not be the business of the government. The existing system is discouraging people saving money in  banks in Pakistan. People prefer to save their money abroad, which is affecting the economy of the country. Companies are saving their foreign currency abroad because it does not trust the state.
4. The Amendment made in the constitution made by ZA Bhutto about indefinite detention by the police of any person without any charges should be removed.
5.Does your party believe taking away power from civil servants and giving it to elected representatives of the people?

Bread will cost more

The government has announced wheat exports to Afghanistan. This will only one thing for the people in Pakistan, the price of bread will go up. There was a time when bread use to cost 25 Paisas now it 6 Rupees. Meat use to cost 80 Rupees per kilogramme now it costs 450 Rupees per kilogramme. The reason for the exorbitant increase is that meat is being exported. The existing government has complete failed keep a check on prices. There is no price control system in place or even a system of subsidise the cost of food. The government does not feel obliged to benefit people in any way at all. Companies and shops are doing exactly as they feel like they just keep on increasing the cost of their products. Retailers are fed up and all are seriously considering closing shop.

Any government which fails to lower the price of food, is doomed. Such a government is intolerable. The first thing the government should do is impose price control on everything which is being sold particularly all food items instead of raising their prices endlessly. Value Added Tax should never be imposed instead all food items should be subsidised. Bread should cost 25 Paisas again. Meat should not be more than Rs. 50 per Kilogramme. It has become increasingly difficult to survive in this country. Ever since Zardari has taken over he simply does not care about the people of Pakistan. His reputation of stealing is no secret. Either he will get out of Pakistan or he along with his ruling regime will be exterminated. Food security is the most important issue. If a government does not understand then it has no right to be in power.

Do we really need a government?

The way things are going on in the country, one is forced to wonder about the relevance of the government. What has it done for the country and the people - absolutely nothing. The economy is perpetually at rock bottom. After the last time when people had foreign currency accounts, the government ended them. Now no businessman in his right mind ever keeps his income from exported items in any Pakistani bank, because now no one trusts the government and there is no reason to. No one wants to make the same mistake. Once was more than enough.

A top priority is banking secrecy. The government should never question why someone is depositing a a large sum of money in any bank or withdrawing. No one should know. The government should interfere in bank deposits and withdrawals. But government wants to make its business. It strange when someone wants to buy a new car, unless there is proper documentation on the money which is being paid for its purchase. Why does the government want such ridiculous details. In any case new cars over a million rupees, that is too much. A brand new car should be more than a hundred thousand rupees.

All these rules and regulations have invented by civil servants, not by the incompetent politicians. The civil servants add one stupid rule after another. No one can build a house, unless one bribes countless officials in several departments. Corruption rules and the government is incapable of stopping it. There is corruption in electricity supply. People overcharged for electricity not supplied.

The country is ruled by decree not by proper debate. One might as well ask, why should not Pakistan charge the USA for its bases here. They have been here for almost ten years. They should be paying $1 billion per day since they day they set foot in Pakistan. But the government is too scared to say anything about that. They have done everything to protect the American Centre in Karachi and everywhere else in Pakistan. Are US lives more precious than the lives of Pakistanis? It certainly seems to be that way.

We cannot afford to have a government which bows down to the needs of a foreign power and subverts the needs of the people on their behalf. We have to get rid of such a government which largely comprised of the same people General Zia's regime. They same mullahs are in power. We need freedom and tolerance. We need to end the rule of different kinds of authorities and boards all these are dens of extensive corruption.

When the government is unable resolve problems of unemployment, rising prices then it does not deserve to exist.

I cannot 'live' in Pakistan

I cannot afford to live in Pakistan unless I am equally rich as Zardari is. I can longer afford to pay for my food, I can no longer afford to buy petrol for my motorcycle, I cannot afford to pay for heating my food. I cannot afford to light up the single light bulb in my house. I keep it off any way. I am told there is no electricity but I no longer know about that I have kept my light bulb off. I am told the light bulb I occasionally switch just to see where I am going for finding something is going cost twice as much to switch on, whenever I do. Once or twice people from the KESC came warned I should stop stealing electricity. I told them I do not what they are talking about. They told my meter reading is too low and I am possibly stealing electricity. They said will come to keep an eye on me.

I have forgotten what electricity is. When my friends and neighbours tell it will cost me twice as much I am surprised. How it that something I am not using cost me twice as much? I do not what is going in the world because I have sold my TV and stop subscribing to the newspaper. I have stopped sending my kids too school I simply cannot afford to send them there, because the schools charge tuition fees and admission fees which I cannot pay for. So since two years my kids are out of school and staying at home.

My family have decided to get the first boat out of Pakistan and live anywhere in the world. Where I can get a job. Educate my children. Buy food. Buy a car if I can because I am not really that age where I should be riding on small motorcycle. Live in house not in hut which I started doing after I sold the two room small flat I was living in My biggest achievement in life was that I actually was able to buy a flat at that time I also had a job. I never had the money travel anywhere in Pakistan because travelling expenses were never within my reach.

As for the boat carrying me out of Pakistan. The person who promised me to take my family out of Pakistan he said he has booked me in the next container. I am so happy because I will be anywhere except for Pakistan.

People told me I would be risking life getting out of this country. Risking my life is nothing, when all hope to continue living in Pakistan is lost I simply do not care what happens to me or to my family.

Rising prices and the war in Afghanistan

In Karachi the norm was that electricity load shedding never took place during winter months, because people had stopped using air conditioners. But strangely enough load shedding started in late 2001 when US forces arrived to invade to Afghanistan. Then food and fuel prices started rising as the war has raged on for almost 10 years. The cost of electricity has risen but the load shedding has not stopped. The cost of food prices, fuel prices have gone up.

There can be only one logical explanation for this, the US forces need to be fed and they should be comfortable in the bases provided in Pakistan and in Afghanistan. This war is costing the USA a great deal of money. Special weapons and equipment require to be kept at specific temperature. The US has increased the number of its soldiers in Afghanistan - hence more demand for food, electricity and fuel. The people in Pakistan are suffering this outrageous price increase. Meat used to be Rs 80 per kilogramme now it has become Rs 400 per kilogramme which is 5 times more. The cost of transporting beef from the US would cost $10 per kilogramme but from Pakistan it is $4 per kilogramme. a $6 difference.

The most electricity consuming item are the morgues. No one knows how many US soldiers are in them, but the numbers are rising. When Pakistan cannot meet the electricity requirement of the US armed forces, those morgues are most likely to be affected. Bodies will be left to rot but not transported back to the US. Families in the USA who lost their children in this war will never know about them being dead. Field medical teams require electricity. When there will not be any electricity, soldiers will remain wounded and let them die because the doctors will not be able function.

Afghanistan does not have any infrastructure. The war with Russia destroyed what remotely resembled infrastructure and the US left Afghanistan with bothering to rebuild the country. The US returned later not to help Afghanistan but to destroy whatever little infrastructure that was left.

There are too many expectations from Pakistan, provide food, fuel, electricity and life. Life as in letting the US kill Pakistanis with their drones. The US does not care about its 'key ally against terrorism'. For all the support Pakistan is giving to the US armed forces are killing Pakistanis that is how Pakistan is being rewarded for its support

Now the news is that US is considering options of invading Pakistan. The USA can never be trusted.

Again an oil and gas price hike

The present government is again increasing the price of oil products and of gas. It seems that the government does not have any source of income other than this. Why should this be the case? There are so many sources of income, but the government does not want to impose taxes on them or is not allowed to.

Why impose income tax on the feudal lords (Zamindars, Waderas), impose land tax on them also. Impose income tax on the owners of brick kiln owners? The government does not want to touch those people because they are the people who run the government. Impose income tax tribal chiefs.

This government all others before it impose tax on oil, gas and imported vehicles nothing else. There is complete of understanding. There are so many sectors where taxes can be imposed. One of the primary reason why tax is increased, is not because the government has run out of money, it is increased because all the greedy pigs in Islamabad take all that money away, so there is no money left for the government to spend on anything at all. Every government has massive corruption.

Everything has been made so complicated that the only way through every process is to bribe. No department can be trusted to do anything without charging anything.

The bribing starts from clerk every department goes to every officer and eventually to the head of the department whose job is only to sign. These corrupt people are everywhere.

Laws have been created to make sure that every receives a bribe. Hence the increase in the price of oil and gas.

When the government is so fucking irresponsible and unreliable it is bound to make the life ordinary people miserable. Protesting makes no difference because they have no shame no sense of honour and dignity. These people are the scum of the earth. They would gladly wear that on their coats as a matter of pride.

When a country is run by murderers, torturers and thieves, nothing good can expected from it. The only thing which bothers these people is ridicule. In Facebook Asi Ali Zardari was being ridiculed. He has become public punching bag. Someone made 'pin the donkey' game in which zardari was the donkey. A forum was made to poke fun of him. Zardari had already banned local mobile phone companies to block SMS' which had made fun of him. He ordered the closure of Facebook because Pakistanis all over the world were making fun of him. He found a way to ban Facebook by making his people dig into Facebook to look for anything which was against the religion Islam. His cronies started protesting and it was televised and thus Facebook was banned. YouTube was banned because people had taken photographs and films of people who killing people in Karachi. YouTube's banning also had nothing to do with religion.

This criminal government has to go at all costs.

Electricity crisis another total breakdown

The total electricity breakdown in Karachi is not a new thing, it has been happening regularly. Electricity appears to be benefit of the privileged few. These largely are government officials, civil servants of every rank and file. They receive electricity free of charge. The myriad government departments consume the most electricity and electricity has to be supplied to them even if they never pay anything. In any case electricity should not be a Federal matter it should be a provincial issue. Provincial governments should be responsible for the supply and tariff of electricity. The Federal government has no business taking the money of different electricity supply organisation. There should be no authorities and organisations run because all of them are run by most asinine and absolutely corrupt people. At least when provincial governments are solely responsible they will much better than the Federal government.

Federal government offices in different provinces will not be supplied if they do not pay for the electricity they are consuming. No member of the National Assembly or member of the Senate would be provided electricity and petrol for free. The Federal government is the biggest electricity thief and because of it the country is suffering. As long as the Federal government has taken upon itself to supply the electricity breakdowns will persist. WAPDA, PEPCO, OGRA, NEPRA should be closed forever.

Zardari's days are numbered

In two years Asif Ali Zardari has ruined the economy of Pakistan. There is no electricity, no water, no gas. He has increased the price of food a hundredfold. He never cared about Pakistan and will never ever care about it. He has billions of dollars of Pakistan's money stashed away in foreign bank accounts.

Everyone who is a part of Zardari's government is a gangster. They have responsible countless murders, land grabbing and Embezzlement. Now there is not a shadow of a doubt that Zardari was one ordered the murder of his wife Benazir.

Things are getting worse with each passing day and the only way left for the people is to exterminate Zardari and everyone in his government. Pervez Musharraf had gradually descended into hell, but Zardari has dug a huge hole in two years in which he and all his cohorts will fall.

If the Zardari supported by International agencies, they too will suffer the same fate.

Enough is enough - no one can stand these lies any more. It is time kill all everyone in the government, regardless who they are. Above all massacre every single civil servant the most corrupt people of all. Zardari should pay for his crimes, he deserves no mercy only the wrath of the people.

Have new elections which are not controlled by International organisations who desperately want to turn Pakistan into an underdeveloped country. The time has come and the tolerance of the people has come to its limit. Things have become expensive beyond imagination.

The time has come to topple this government and existing members of parliament and never allow them contest elections ever. There has to be some sanity. At the moment the country is being run by completely insane and criminal people. These people cannot be relied on to making a single sensible decision because they only know how to crimes, not make policy decisions. They do not know what the meaning of policy is. Electricity shortage, food shortage in Pakistan

There has been a 200% increase in electricity shortage in Pakistan. At first people thought it was because of sheer incompetence of the government. The real reason is that the US military bases in Pakistan and those which are in Afghanistan require electricity and they are stealing it from Pakistan. Food prices have risen 400% and so have fuel prices. Since Afghanistan does not generate electricity, does not grow food - so Pakistan is required to supply them. All the food which is being transported from the USA to the USA's military in Afghanistan is destroyed by the Taliban. All food, water is cut off. The USA cannot afford air drops of food and water because such planes are likely to be destroyed besides it would be very expensive to do so. Already the war has cost too much. Bankrupted the USA, but the policy makers in the USA do not care. It is war at all costs, whereas its purpose is not known.

For practical purposes, Pakistan has to supply everything to the US military. Even in Pakistan's winter, which is cold for Pakistanis, US soldiers need round the clock air-conditioning. The biggest required of electricity are the morgues, where countless US soldiers have been kept frozen, they have not returned to US as yet. No one exactly knows how many US soldiers have been killed.

The Taliban are starving US forces ever since the war started and will continue to do so. Deprive them of food and water. Since Afghanistan is declared an under-developed country, it has no electricity supply generation, it does not grow any food. So there is a very heavy reliance on Pakistan to give all this to the US forces. When meat sellers over-price meat, their standard excuse is that it is being exported. It is not being exported, it is being given to the US forces in Afghanistan and the cost has to be borne by the long suffering people of Pakistan.

Terrorism started in Pakistan ever since the US invaded Afghanistan. Most of the terrorist turned to be American mercenaries. America needs Pakistan now and is exploited all Pakistan's resources for its own purposes.

If the USA is so desperate for electricity, then it should supply nuclear power plants without charging for them, to Pakistan, after all Pakistan is USA's non-NATO ally. All the energy problems faced by the US bases would be resolved. But US policy makers do not do any favours to Pakistan. When the US was asked to supply drones to Pakistan - the US flatly refused. The US has a front in Pakistan, it is fighting Pakistan also, killing Pakistanis with its drones, claiming it is killing Talibans who are crossing the border. The value of the life of Pakistanis for the USA is nil.

The sudden increase in the shortage of electricity and the inflated price of food and fuel is all because the US military is in Afghanistan. People are calling USA the Rogue State, the Terrorist State. The USA plans to attack Iran also. They want the entire region to fall in chaos. This could very well backfire, because Russia and China have said they are on the side of Iran.

Apparently there is no limit to arrogance. The USA has tremendous wealth, but that wealth is being squandered in fighting wars, not ending growing poverty and homelessness in the USA. The USA is following the Fascist credo, war for its own sake and endless war. Kill anyone who does not follow your religion and is not the same race as yours. Show complete contempt of the cultural norms of other countries. The only way is the American Way : Lies, Injustice and Mass Extermination.

The last straw

The government's electricity policy has collapsed. Now the shopkeepers, mills and different businesses are striking against the contnued absence of electricity. The price of food items have skyrocketed. The government's absolute corruption is responsible for the prevailing state of affairs. Time will tell when this government quits. People fed up with the current state of affairs. Overcharging on electricity will make no difference, when it is not supplied.

Sugar crisis

In the 1990s there was the wheat crisis and now there is the sugar crisis. Sugar has mysteriously disappeared from every city in Pakistan. People are condemning the government and rightly so. The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) slogan 'roti, kapra aur makaan' meaning food, clothing and shelter . The existing government is of the PPP and is doing exactly the opposite of its promise.

Pakistan has never experienced such a scale of scarcity of food items as it has since the PPP started running the country.

Some people claim that Zardari is grabbing businesses presently he owns all the sugar mills. All he wants to do is steal as much as he can. He does not care if the people of Pakistan starve or not. He does not care about popularity - he only cares about satisfying his personal greed. This has got to stop and an investigation has to be conducted as to who is responsible for this overall food crisis. Who these people are should be taken too task. In any case if President Zardari is not doing the things people say he is, it is still his responsibility to resolve this matter before it becomes increasingly worse.

This food crisis is artificial. Food is either being hoarded or being smuggled out. The smugglers cannot be caught because they have friends in high places. The first priority of every government is food security. Ensuring that everyone in the country has food at a low price. The country comes first. The requirements of the country have to be met then it should be exported.

I suppose the existing rulers do not have the basic concept of good governance.

Zardari's quest for absolute power

The National Reconciliation Ordinance (N.R.O) is intended give more power to President Zaradari. He will use his executive powers at whim, and will not need the approval of the parliament for any decision be it right or wrong. There would be no debate in the parliament, the president's decision would be final. In short he wants to become a dictator.

The elections which were conducted were sham. No one elected anyone, the results were announced, no one knows if they were genuine or not. Zardari made himself president and Gilani is prime minister because Zardari wanted him to be. Much of the parliament is filled with religious clerics (Mullahs) who have no concept of democracy. They can only preach not make a sensible speech. Had there been honest elections, the Mullahs would not be seen in the parliament. No one cares about religion. People want jobs, they want incomes which can match the ever increasing prices of virtually everything.

The country is run by charlatans, completely corrupt people, frauds; wheelers and dealers. Everyone has a suitcase ready, in case the tide turns they can escape Pakistan. But Pakistan is no longer in no mood to forgive. These people will be hunted down wherever they are in the world, captured and put on trial, for all the horrible things they have done.

At point Pakistan may have felt powerless, but no more. These people will have to pay and pay they must. These moves by Zardari to become a dictator should be stopped and no one should ever be allowed to rule the country by decree.

Democracy should be everywhere. Every city, town and village. In every Division and sub-division and in every district and sub-district. Civil servants and the military will have to withdraw from everything.

One wonders why is it that those who grab power would be able to survive in their position. Some have had horrible ends and many people who held key positions were also destroyed. It would be best the existing government resigns and should new elections. The elections should be honest. The original 1973 Constitution should be accepted without the amendments which were made later.

Sex ban

Instead of calling it porn ban - I've decided to call it sex ban. People performing a whole range sexual activities which for some odd reason many find objectionable and appalling. Social networking sites make sure that people post sex pictures. Gay blogs have been closed down. Why is it that sex evokes so much anger, intolerance and absolutely stupid reactions?

We were born naked and when we die our clothes might survive but our skeleton would turn to dust - what will a skeleton do with clothes in any case?.

I recently discovered why porn is so popular I conducted a poll and discovered 99% that real women detest oral sex. For them it is the unthinkable, it is disgusting and it is absolutely filthy. So pornographers I would rename as specialist in sexual needs, provide a service. None of the women polled refused to comment on their sexual fantasies which of course ruled out finding out whether they fantasised about oral sex.

Real women are nothing like the porn-stars, for all intents and purposes sex is strictly taboo. I wonder why that is so? It just is. If that we the case, there would be no prostitutes and no pornography, women would open to all suggestions. But the real world is really very very different.

Electing Karazai, what?!

Everyone knows that Hamid Karazai was an US citizen set up by the USA to act as 'President of Afghanistan'. He was never elected that position, his job was just sit around and pretend to run a country which is not at all in his control.
Now for some absurd reason the USA thinks it would be a clever thing to do is to have elections in Afghanistan and to elect Karazai. With the country in chaos, the coalition forces unable to make any headway in their war against the Taliban - there are to be elections. Who is counting the votes? Where the polls taking place? The Americans did the same thing Iraq - placing a puppet regime, a puppet parliament the same rubbish being repeated in Afghanistan.
Karazai will remain the puppet president the US needs and the election will be a stupid excercise and it will not change the fact that coaliton forces are still fighting with no end in sight. How many soldiers are the invaders prepared to lose? How much are they willing to spend on new weapons, those which were already in Afghanistan are being destroyed all the time. In past nine year a lot of 'expensive' junk has accumulated. These machines require refueling and repairs which can be salvaged. The scrap fetches a good price.
When greed is the sole motivating factor in this war - this war may never come to an end, perhaps after one or two generations, the invaders would realise their stupidity and retreat to their "FATHERLANDS" hail their respective Fuehrers.
The British have their secrets about their war in Iraq, obviously those secrets are about the death camps and torture camps they set up in Iraq. The deals they people they made deals with the enemy to spare entire divisions from annhilation. Conducting chemical and biological warfare against the people of Iraq.
Both wars are illegal and should not have happened. But war is the only escape from imminent economic collapse, leaders would be out of power and there would mass revolution. No one wants to be out of a job, no one wants to become homeless. These wars were fought by taking loans from banks which cannot back, they were not fought by using the tax-payers money. Now to pay back incredible loan and the interest accrued on it is so big a massive increase in taxes are being suggested and strangely enough when millions of people are unemployed.

Green Lantern of Krypton

The Guardians of the Galaxy gave sentient beings on different planets the famous Green Lantern ring and the Green Lantern to charge it up. The Kryptonians were a very technologically advanced race. The person who was given the ring travelled far from red sun and discovered in addition to the powers given to him by the Ring he wore.

General Zod wanted to rule Krypton and tried many times and failed till he came across Sinestro the evil Green Lantern. General Zod planned to use Sinestro for his own ends while Sinestro wanted destroy Krypton's Green Lantern. It resulted in a stalemate. Krypton's Green Lantern told Jor-el that banishing criminals in distant space only would make them stronger and pose a great danger. Green Lantern asked Jor-el to make way to a dimension which would render criminals powerless and would not make them powerful. General Zod and his gang ended up in the Phantom Zone. While Sinestro escaped Green Lantern fought him in space many times more powerful than Sinestro. Sinestro retreated and returned with a weapon which would bore a hole inside Krypton and changing a specific inert green crystal into something exceedingly toxic to Krypton's Green Lantern and thus defeating him, he disappeared into oblivion.

Sinestro to carryout an even bigger plan the destruction of Krypton. He filled the Krypton's core with Kryptonite which was like placing one billion hydrogen bombs in one place. Sinestro escaped with a warning to Jor-el. Krypton exploded, Kal-el escaped his homeworld and landed on Earth. The universe is big and Sinestro had many places to go - only later he discovered Earth to encounter Earth's Green Lantern and made him look like a loser.

The straw that broke the camel's back

The Karachi Electricity Supply Company (KESC) finally did it:Not supplying electricity for 18 hours at a stretch.Sending bills which only some mulimillionaire can afford to pay, sometimes not even them.When the shop-keepers received the bills they got together and put all the bills in a huge pile and set them on fire. Defied the KESC who threatened to remove the meters. The people began to warn them against doing that - saying what they will do if the KESC does that.Strangely enough none of the members of the Sindh Provincial Assembly was there to resolve the mattter.

It is as if the problems of the people of Karachi is not theirs. For some reason the Federal Government wants to interfere in an entirely provincial matter. The KESC has failed and will continue to do so, if it insists on doing this. The misery caused by KESC's incompetence and unreliable behaviour intolerable. Why should there one electricity supply company why not many more? The people in Karachi are absolutely sick and tired of the KESC. The problem is not entirely that of the KESC, it is of the federal government claiming to be democratic yet doing completely undemocratic things.

Online banking stinks

Now that all the banks have come online, in the haste to get the latest technology is that a few things were left behind, had they remained, they would be a great help. I use the ATM much of the time, but a few days back, there was on the screen 'transaction cannot be completed'. I tried once or twice then went to bank to next bank and received the same message. Later I returned to the bank to the ATM tried again and failed.

This was the bank where I have saved my money. I went in and told some officer over there that the ATM machine is not working. He said he will do something about it - but he ran off somewhere else. I had my cheque book with me and decided to use it, instead of the ATM and the teller told me that his bank branch link with the head office of the bank ( in this case MCB) was down which is why neither the ATM cannot conduct transactions and nothing could be done about my cheque unless the branch was back online with the head office. Nothing can be done unless that happens.

I asked the teller why can't he use the old fashioned way check my account from a register, see my account number and debit the amount I need and give me cash. He tells me everything is controlled by the head office, these days he said no bank uses registers to facilitate account holders, unless the head office makes a change in the rules or the State Bank of Pakistan makes a rule to return certain independence to the bank branches, so that it does not cause any problem for account holders.

Another bizarre thing is that if one applies for a new cheque book, it the new cheque book is not collected within two months it is destroyed, what rubbish. An account holder will lose access to his account. This rule should go. The cheque book should be retained and an account holder can collect it any time.

Scare mongering or the truth?

There are stories floating around that the government is going take away US Dollars from the lockers of people and will prevent money exchanges from converting US Dollars into rupees. At times one tends to be believe this because during the time when Nawaz Sharif was Prime Miniser he sealed the US Dollar accounts of everyone and the people who had found out earlier about this through their sources and had closed their US Dollar accounts and sent that money abroad. Some of these people were caught and prosecuted.

If this merely scare-mongering then government should do something about this before there is run on the bank and never trust banks ever again.

This is the US idea of friendly relations with Pakistan, I forgot - the USA is not a friend of Pakistan, it is only using Pakistan to attack the Taliban. The USA does not regret killing Pakistanis. Like it has never regretted killing countless Vietnamese, Cambodians and Laotians. Only the USA has the right to kill people and no one should dare defend themselves. Despite their insane war in Vietnam the USA was badly beaten and ran with its tail between its legs. In order to fight in Vietnam there was an undeclared war against Cambodia and Laos. The problem, many now say is that the bombers and fighter bombers flew so fast that the pilots did not know where they were, they had the coordinates wrong. The same thing happened in the Balkans. US planes flew right across Serbia and bombed Bulgaria, because they had no idea where they were.

After killing so many Pakistanis - does the USA seriously think that we will let this go on forever. For Mr Gates Pakistan is just another target, Pakistani lives do not matter. He will order the killing of a dozen Pakistanis just get one Taliban.

The wise thing to do is to inform Pakistan about someone taking refuge in Pakistan and the Pakistan forces deal with the matter. The USA does not know what it is dealing with. Mr Gates of course will be concerned about US soldiers but not the unarmed innocent people of Pakistan. The Pakistani armed forces have sworn to protect Pakistan and Pakistanis, US incursions into Pakistan are nothing short of an invasion.

If the USA wants a war why does it hesitate? Why does not just come up and say it? The sovereignity of Pakistan comes first US security interests are no longer our concerns as far as every Pakistani is concerned the USA can go to hell. Too many Pakistanis have been killed in the name of US security interests. now no more, enough is enough Mr Gates - it is time for the USA to back off. Either co-operate with Pakistan military, not try capture a Taliban or Al-Qaeda member on their own.

The USA has never liked Pakistan and will never like it, so it thinks nothing of killing Pakistanis. Our security concerns are being compromised. Everyone knows that all the 'suicide bombings' are being masterminded by the USA - telling Pakistanis that the Al-Qaeda is trying to destroy Pakistan and only the USA can help only by invading Pakistan. Even in recent bomb blast in Islambad was done by the US military personnel. Al-Qaeda is an invention of the USA it does not exist. It is the name of a special US military unit, the job of which is causing all the chaos in Pakistan. The two countries operating covertly in Pakistan are the USA and Canada. They are causing as much damage as they possibly can.

Just because the USA is losing its war in Afghanistan, does not mean it should attack Pakistan. Right now a drone has been shot down, next time it will be some hi-tech US air force plane and a few soldiers will be killed.

Kill the bastards

60 Pakistanis have been killed by US forces. US aircraft and drones just bomb for the sake of bombing and allege they are killing 'insurgents' and 'terrorists'. What they ared doing is killing innocent Pakistanis. The USA is slowly but surely become a terrorist state - in fighting this phoney war on terrorism has itself become a terrorist. It thinks that it can kill Pakistanis and get away with, they should think again. Because this 'Special Relationship' is going to take a new turn.

If our military is not going to defend Pakistanis, the Pakistanis will do it themselves. But then the government will realise enough is enough and any straying aircraft or drone into Pakistan will be destroyed before it can even enter Pakistan. Too many Pakistanis civilians have died because the USA. The USA has become so arrogant that it considers Pakistan incompetent and weak. When US planes are captured and drone destroyed, the USA will be screaming and cursing Pakistan. It would be demanding the return of its pilots and its aircraft. But these will not be returned if the USA continue to kill Pakistanis. This pretence that Pakistan is a friend of the USA will end, because there really never ever was any friendship. Whenver it suited USA, sanctions were imposed on Pakistan - which were acts of war. Iraq suffered 'Oil for Food' and thousands of Iraqis died, then USA became impatient and invaded Iraq to steal its oil and kill all its leaders.

Let the USA and NATO starve - Pakistan should permanently cut off their supplies. The war will cease in Afghanistan and Pakistan will be invaded. Perhaps NATO may not agree with this plan and the USA will invade Pakistan the same way it invaded Iraq. But a majot difference. With tactical nuclear missiles wiping the US navy and submarines. The first wave of the US army would be exterminated by the Pakistan militaryusing soldiers, artillery and tanks and air force.

The attack will have to come driectly from mainland USA which will be responded in kind. Why should we care about a country which does not care about the lives of Pakistanis and hate them. If Pakistani lives are worthless then American lives are million times worthless. If the Americans were fighting a war against terrorist then they would limit their actions to Afghanistan. If they claim that terrorists escaped to Pakistan, then Pakistan should be informed and not take any action alone. The Pakistan military would deal them.

If it is said that Osama bin Laden is responsible for the destruction of a building in New York, how would the Americans feel if some of their cities have disappeared? Nothing is more important than the lives of Pakistanis. Those who kill Pakistanis deserve to die and be wiped off the face of the planet.

Star Yrek and Stargate

Both great series unfortunately cancelled. The funny thing about these shows is that do not grow up with their fans their audience - why not have an R or X rating, comic book style the rating never changes. How is it all the aliens look like humans in both shows - it does not matter if there foreheads are large or their colour is blue. Aliens should look like aliens. The imagination of the people who make these shows seem stunted when it comes to conceiving aliens..
Star Trek never lived out on its premise and promise to seek out new life and new civilisations. The air was sucked out of Stargate after defeating Goul'd and the Ori. Only really good science fiction/fantasy writers can breathe life into these shows.
So many people have written Star Trek novels, but no one really cares to take ideas from them. Slowly and gradually Stargate moved from gate travel to star ship travel - what is known as hyper drive in Stargate is warp drive in Star Trek. Does it really matter what is the way travel through stars and galaxies, does it really have to have a name? Just say travel a billion light years per second or some other nonsense.
When writers get exhausted and run out any new material the rehash it from other shows instead of relying on science fiction writers. It is very likely they can come up some incredible concepts. Both Stargate and Star Trek are alike in the sense that they are both about space exploration. Has ever anyone considered another angle - humans as pirates and planet conquerors in order to build a gigantic inter-galactic empire. The entire human race is in space to build their individual space empires. It could be a great idea or a terrible one. I personally think that it is good a number reasons - why should humans be depicted as noble and freedom loving race? It is far easier to show Earth star-ships destroying world instead an alien who looks just like a human being which would be ridiculous.

Canadian torture

Finally Canada has been found to be as brutal and barbaric as its neighbour in the south. Torturing a 16 year old boy. That is just one incident no one knows how many similar there really are, we only know of one - the proverbial tip of the iceberg.
Canadians do not torture people that way only, they do not consider Pakistanis welcome in their country - particularly those who are trying to visit the country for the first time. I wasted almost Rs 30,000 to get a visa for that frigid wasteland and which I never received and provided private details - which is no business of the Canadians to know.
I have heard of Pakistanis coming to back home from Canada - they are placed in a separate line and checked as if they are a bunch of criminals. Since when has Pakistan become an enemy of Canada? The war is in Afghanistan not here, unless they themselves responsible for terrorism in Pakistan and blaming the Taliban. Make Pakistan look like some hellish place. It is easy to blame the Taliban and everyone actually love to believe that. But considering the way the Canadians were found responsible torturing a teenager - anything is possible. No one in the 'civilised world' would ever believe that the Canadian military is behind all the bomb blasts and killings. Innocent Pakistani lives are being lost because of NATO's presently unknown long term strategy.

Communication overload

The Internet and mobile phones have created a very unique situation. Children growing up in this digital age - when they first find out about how easy it is to stay in touch with their friends - all the time - end up discovering that when they meet there is nothing to talk about because they have already said all that was to be said - together they are moping and scratching their heads wondering what to talk about - however they learn very quickly not stay in touch at all and only talk with each other when they meet.
The biggest disaster of all are family pictures. A baby a barely born and his (or her) first moments are instantly recorded and sent - in fact a several hours long video are sent particularly by new parents. Pictures and videos of engagements and weddings are not only very boring but in order to see all of them will take several hours, but no one has the time or the inclination to see.
Such things were thrilling in the beginning - now they have eventually become tedious. This is the case with every invention. Gradually take them for granted and wonder what how people could be without them when they were not invented. At one point sending and receiving SMS was considering really great - now they have become irrelevant.
This communication overload has not changed the attitude of people - every invention loses its novelty and wait for the next new development.
Perhaps I would be delving in the world of fantasy that the entire life of a person is recording and stored in a flash drive or something new - would that information be worth anything? Perhaps for people in the in the distant future. Does scale of communication make us better people - it is doubtful.
We have already become exhausted with too many channels on TV - no one watches them, because TV stations tend to repeat everything they show - so why bother watching on its listed time. Again certain TV shows are interesting but are not aired at the right time, so people go ahead and buy DVDs of entire seasons of that show - no one is time bound. It may not be long that when people would not rely on DVD and DVD players to watch their favourite shows, they will be in digital video players -whatever they are called. So one can cram hundreds of shows and TV and film shows in them. Even these will cause communication overload, because there is not enough time to see them. TV, computers, the Internet, video players, music players, mobile phones and video games all are begging for attention - what is one to do? We buy these gadgets yet we never have the time to use them.

Health of the bride and groom

Not everyone is so bold as to fall in love and get married - they agree to an arranged marriage. Men and women go blindly into a relationship, because their parents have told them to do so. The criteria is wealth and family background. But there is one matter which both the parents of the groom and bride ignore - it is the health of the two.
Does any one of them have any hereditary disease like thalassemia, diabetes and hypertension? If any one of them does they are bound to have diseased children. No one considers other factors such if any of them is HIV positive or not. Did the man suffer from mumps -which would make completely unsuitable for marriage.
There are some problems such as impotence in men and frigidity in women. Is either of them fertile or not. There are issues of sexual preferences, is the man completely gay and the woman completely lesbian - but such things are taboo no one wants to talk about such things it is embarrassing and illegal.
It is high time health should be considered a criteria for selecting a groom or a bride. The parents of the groom should have complete medical check up of bride and the parents have a complete medical check up of the groom. Such medical check should cover everything. There should be psycho-analytical tests and psychiatric tests. CAT scans and MRIs.
This would make arranged marriages very expensive. The more the children would lead to financial ruin. It would not matter if they daughters or sons, they will have to pay. If this is made a legal requirement that no marriage can take place without a health certificate, it could possibly mean the end of arranged marriages as we know them. This law should only apply to people who arranging the marriage of their children.
If a medical check up exposes a severe in disease in either the groom (or the bride) it would end his chances of ever getting married again. Because the medical record would be submitted in court and to the health department. So that other parents can check the medical record of the concerned individual. But then that medical certificate would be outdated - if the groom suffers from some crippling disease later, a new medical check up would be required and added to the certificate.
Parents particularly of women would miserable that their daughter can never get married and will have to stay at home, unless she is educated and can live independently. But our culture considers it extremely bad that an unmarried woman should be living alone, in her own house.

It seems as though that some changes are slowly taking place in our society. Women bearing children out of wedlock does not cause the mass hysteria and shock it once would have. People are beginning to accept extra-marital affairs including live in relationships. Breaking taboos is an absolutely new trend. The initial shock effect is still around, but its impact is getting toned down a great deal and may one day well end completely.

Telephone charges and the media

When I received my monthly telephone bill of Rs 3500, I was shocked beyond belief. My regular bill was has been for a long time Rs 750 and if I made several international calls I naturally expected to be billed more. Around Rs 1500 which was the maximum. Dial-up for the Internet was treating as one call and there was no multi-metering charges now there are. I wrote to several newspapers and even local TV channels about this increase in the land line telephone charges. It appears as though the government wants to destroy PTCL.
The local media was completely indifferent about this. Anyway regarding the charges, for the same amount of money I could buy a new mobile phone or buy a used full-featured mobile phone. Why should I rely on the only land line telephone company in the country Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL). Why should PTCL have this blind authority to charge as it pleases and why does the government's Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) let it happen? So many services mobile phone companies could provide, have been around abroad for several years, but have not been introduced here, t either because the companies here do not have the required technical skill, most likely they were prevented by the PTA. The PTA should be headed by people who know what is happening all over the world. Some mobile phone companies give a number which can be used to make international calls for free, that service does not exist here. Mobile phones come with a call charges feature, so that a customer can know how much it cost him to make a call. I asked the mobile service I am presently subscriber of as to why this feature does not work - the answer I got was that the company's management does not allow it. In what way does it hurt the management of the company to provide an additional service? Only recently when a Chinese mobile phone company came certain international standards and like providing free calls to 11 people, the other mobile service companies started doing the same but reluctantly. This could have been done years ago, but the PTA did not allow because it was afraid it would lose revenue.
There is a tendency in the government to knowingly do absolutely stupid and insane thing. There are two mottos "If something can be done, why let be be done, create as many hurdles so that it becomes impossible to be done" the other is "Convenience is a crime"
There should be an end to PTCL's criminal monopoly as well as that of KESC's monopoly over Karachi. WAPDA should cease to existed. Every province should have its own Ministry of Water and Power Development with no Federal Government involvement.
Why does our government rely entirely on indirect taxes, why does not have the guts impose income tax, property tax and wealth tax on the feudal lords and tribal chiefs?

Will the next US President end the wars?

So far there is no indication the candidates of the two US political parties intend to end USA’s military involvement in the world Seemingly it does not concern the people of the USA, they are not like the activists who wanted the end of the Vietnam war. They are content with their lives, what happens abroad does not concern them anymore, one of the reasons is that they are do not know enough. During the Vietnam war the media was free and could report everything which was happening in the Vietnam war.

With the media under absolute control - with ‘embedded journalists’ they only report what the military will allow them to report. If the US media actually free then the facts would speak for themselves and the people would know what is really going on. But when the media is entirely in the pocket of the US establishment there can never be any truth.

People will only know what the establishment will let them. The result is there is an air of absolute apathy and indifference.The candidates of both parties are also victims of this grand scale of disinformation. They will support the wars without having the facts correct. This serves specia interestl groups which happen to be very powerful,

the US government is prepared pouring infinite amount of money to fight the wars and devote tremendous resources as well. The military personnel are fighting – without questioning the reasons.

To say that these wars are about oil – would be rejected as an idea of some conspirary freak’s fantasy. Another one vehemently denied is that what had happened seven years ago in New York was staged to make it look like a terrorist attack when it was nothing of the sort, actually it was just excuse to start a war, because the US economy was in deep recession and hundreds of thousands of people were going to lose their jobs. Patriotism overtook the resentment of losing jobs. Only now people are writing against the war, the only war they are writing about is the war in Iraq, not the one in Afghanistan.

Somehow the war in Afghanistan is the media is not allowed to comment on. Withdrawing from Afghanistan is unthinkable - because USA’s Public Enemy Number 1 has not yet been found and killed besides it is a real war and an insugency like in Iraq.

The Taliban have united Afghanistan against the coalition forces who having a hard time fighting over there.

The more soldiers and all kinds hi-tech equipment pouring into Afghanistan is making the war exceedingly expensive. It is not a cross border war. Large amount of equipment are being transported from thousands of miles away and sent in for battle much of it ends up being destroyed or taken away. Kiling of the foreign soldiers is worse because it is not possible to replace a soldier. The equipment the soldiers have on them has is very advanced and is used by the Taliban.

Since the US has unlimited money they will keep pouring in money in fighting in Afghanistan. But in case the worse happens – the Taliban manage to trounce the coalition forces and they have no choice but to retreat forever, it is certain that the USA will retaliate by turning Afghanistan into a nuclear wasteland.

Association of Democracies!?

There is this ludicrous proposal of encouraging democracy all over the world. This association will be led by the USA. One might ask is the USA really interested in establishing democracy? Will the USA want the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia transformed into a democratic republic, with proper elections and different political parties contesting elections and the monarchy should cease. Will the USA want the same to happen in UAE and Kuwait? Will the USA want general elections in Afghanistan and Iraq – not let the puppet regimes to continue? Democracy has never been in the interest of the USA. Dicatators nd kings are far easier to control instead of properly elected leaders.

The Prime Minister and the newspaper employees wage award

The newspaper and publication owners are asking the new prime minister not to make them implement the newspaper employees wage award. They did the same thing with former prime minister and he took tremendous bribes from these people at the cost of his own job. If the present prime minister chooses to do the same, it is entirely approach.
Journalists do not too kindly to leaders who betray them. It is the work of journalists which enables newspapers,(publications and the electronic media) be in a position to bring the stories which bring about changes in society and the way politics is conducted in the country - whether there should be dictatorship or democracy. Journalists work hard at their jobs and deserve to be paid well.
The newspaper and publication owners do not see it that way. They do not want to pay anything at all, although get lots of money from advertisements and sales - the government is by far the biggest advertiser.
If the prime minister chooses to side with newspaper owners and the journalists do not receive the long pending wage award, would only mean that he has accepted a heavy bribe. The newspaper owners have during the time the previous prime minister was around fired several senior journalists on spurious grounds and also not given them their clearance dues. These organisations instead of retaining journalists are hiring on contract or keeping them on contract, they have all but eliminated the concept of full time employment and job security - something only a fascist government would allow to happen. If the present government is really a Awami government then it should look after the interests of the professionals who contribute so much to the well being of the country and society and not be treated like the newspaper owners have started to do, treat them like dirt.
It is high time for the prime minister to choose - if he is going let the rotten traditions of the previous government continue or be able to face the world with dignity by not taking any bribes. Corruption charges emerge very quickly and it is not difficult for journalists to find them. So the ball is in the prime minster's court at this time.

Sacrificial animals health hazard

On every Bakra Eid, all kinds of livestock throngs Karachi. The stench of these animals fills the air, besides they attract tremendous amount of flies - by their presence alone within the city is in itself a health-hazard. The entire city is turned into on gigantic cattle pen.
Just because it is a religious duty it does not necessarily mean that people should choose to ignore the various diseases which these animals are likely to suffer from. The livestock owners who bring them over to the city are desperate to get rid of them - either because they are suffering from some kind of disease or another or that they are too old. Some of these animals suffering from internal bleeding due to some injury or perhaps of some sort of disease.
Many livestock owners have their animals medicated, those medicines are in the bloodstream and some end up in the kidneys.
Some of these are so sick in order to make look healthy they are overdosed with drugs long enough to survive and be sold during Bakra Eid. Only someone who is a veterinarian would know the difference between a healthy animal and one who is suffering from some kind of ailment.
A government health certificate is next to useless, because government officials are bound to be bribed by the livestock owners. The government inspectors would issue health certificates just because they have received a heavy bribe. The livestock owners have enough money to this. They get paid back when they sell their animals at highly inflated prices.
(For some multimillionaires it is a matter of pride to purchase outrageously priced animals and show them off in front of their houses. )
The danger of purchasing diseased animals and the greatest danger of purchasing heavily drugged animals is that the meat of such animals becomes unsuitable for human consumption. The drugs in the animal are poison for humans. An unhealthy animal is also unsafe because there is the danger that the meat is unfit to eat.
But when faith comes before health, no one really cares. No one wants to listen to the warnings.

Benazir's death a massive tragedy?

The violence which ensued after Benazir Bhutto's assassination was far worse than her death. The rioting and violence which ensued immediately appeared too staged to be genuine many people died and select areas were damaged, cars were destroyed. Tactics normally employed by the MQM.
Coming back to the matter of Benazir Bhutto, she got herself elected life chair-person of the PPP, turning it a one person party, no democratic process within the political party, which meant no one else would have the opportunity to lead the party. Benazir's father ZA Bhutto won the election in West Pakistan, was not because of who he was, rather what he stood for. It was his socialist stand and improving the conditions of ordinary people - the destitute and poor were made aware of their rights. The PPP won in West Pakistan, thrashing all the political parties peddling religion. The PPP party slogan was 'roti, kapra aur makan" meaning bread, clothing and shelter for all. This was the winning slogan. The biggest support the PPP received was from Karachi.
The PPP did as well as it could to fulfill its promise, but ZA Bhutto, used his power for vindictive purposes. Anyone who had wronged him at any time of his life was tortured or murdered. ZA Bhutto add more power made himself was to make himself a Civilian Martial Administrator, so that his actions could never questioned. Consequently people began to hate him and his party slogan turned out to be a massive lie.
When he rigged the elections in 1977, that was the final straw, there was rioting and demonstrations virtually everyday, till the military took over. When Bhutto was executed General Zia's orders in 1979, he immediately became a martyr. Benazir Bhutto has been relying too much on the Bhutto name and not what the PPP stood for.
When she was prime minister she gave a speech in Naudero - the state owned news agency quoted one of her old foreign policy speeches which was ridiculous why would the people be interested in a foreign policy statement . The truth came out when an independent correspondent reported something completely different. Benazir was full of praise of the Bhutto clan and went to so far as to say that Bhuttos are a separate nation. The state attempts to hide this fact had failed . Benazir was ridiculed for making such stupid speech.
Benazir went on being called Bhutto although she was married to Asif Ali Zardari and should have been called Benazir Zardari, because she imagined the PPP's main sale pitch is the Bhutto name, not the values the PPP stood for. Not everyone supports the PPP and Benazir does not matter. In a democratic system the voters have their favourite candidates and Benazir was just one of them. It is not a national tragedy if she is killed. Those who would never have voted for the PPP in the first place do not really care what happens to that party. The real tragedy was the aftermath of her assassination, people who were killed and the damage to goods and property.
There is too much speculation as to who would want to kill Benazir, it is pointless to add to the confusion.

Sui Southern Gas Company information village mentality

Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) is distributing to its customers information update forms. There are a number of problems related to this updating of information. Karachi is a cosmopolitan city, it is not some sleepy village where people who never look for any other place stay. Karachi is in perpetual state of flux and it is practically impossible keep up with such constant changes:

The information once updated by SSGC becomes out of date, as soon as it has been submitted
People are constantly changing their premises, they may give information of where they were once living in, but the owners or tenants will make changes in those premises, so that information becomes out of date. The former owners are living elsewhere and have nothing to with the those premises.
The people who have shifted to new premises cannot be expected to provide requisite details, because they have yet to know the place they are living in.
There can never give an accurate account about the new place at any given time, they are living in, someone who was living before them gave his information but will has no bearing on the new people who are living here. That information does not apply any more to them, so that information will have to be re-updated.
No one stays in any particular part of the city for longer, or for that matter stay in the city; they keep moving – either within the city, or leave city altogether – then go and live in some other city or town, many also leave the country entirely
People die the information they have provided ceases to be relevant. Because it was based on their Identity Card.
People make changes in their homes, renovate and alter its appearance so what existed before no longer applies then the former information given to the SSGC becomes wrong.
Businessmen go bankrupt, employed people lose their jobs. Government officials retire or probably (in some very rare cases they may lose their jobs). Some are being given charity so that they continue with their life and others are not. How can SSGC assume that people have three categories, businessmen,privately employed or working for the government. It has not taken into account widows.
There are some people who cannot be categorised as tenants or owners, it is just place owner(s) guests are given to stay. Those guests would never be able to provide any kind of information ever, because they are not staying there permanently.
Some premises remain empty – for a variety of reasons, hence no information can be acquired from them.

Thus the inherent flaw in SSGC information update – is that will have to be frequently re-updated over and over again. With this continuous re-updating – it will not be possible for SSGC to send a proper and accurate bill at any given time.
As for the information update form itself, the information demanded from the customers is of very private nature and the SSGC has no business to asking such questions. The SSGC should simply focus on the meter reading, nothing else and send bills based on that, it should not pry in the private life of people.
Imagine a shop-keeper not selling his goods unless he can all the private information he can from his customers. The shopkeeper would prefer that everything he has in store is sold, the more customers he has the happier he is.
One might well ask, what is the point such information gathering by SSGC? Some years back SSGC went through drastic changes. The civilian management was replaced by military officers. Everyone knows that military officers are the biggest idiots ever they make decisions which are extremely foolish without any consensus, they just give and order and the consequences be damned. Nothing ever is thought through. Only when the military officers return the jobs to the the original civilian management will the SSGC be work properly. It is apparent that behind every single stupid decision, one see the military regime’s handiwork.
On a final note – Karachi never experiences extreme cold, the climate is mediterrean – so it is humid and warm nearly throughout the year, these days more than ever – but SSGC thinks it has the right to charge extra for ‘winter’ when there is none in Karachi.

Worsening conditions of banks

After the local banks were denationalised - things have become worse - both for those who were employed in them and for those who have their accounts in them. Many bank employees were fired without thinking twice about the consequences - one of the many factors which have led the major disturbances in the country. The account holders are treated with absolute indifference. If their checque book has finished and have applied for a new one, if the new one is not collected within 60 days then the new checque book is destroyed - conveniently forgetting that the checque book belongs to the account holder and the bank has no business destroying it. It should keep it in trust so that the account holder can collect at has own convenience. An organisation called NIFT and the State Bank of Pakistan has prevented the banks from keep new checque books for more than 60 days and are required to destroy them. Whosoever invented this rule is a blithering idiot.
Banks encourage people save money in them, but that concept has vanished. Banks instead of encouraging saving are doing exactly the opposite encouraging people to take loans (credit) and spending it - they are no better than loan sharks.
There is this foreign bank called Standard&Chartered Bank which deducts people savings and the State Bank of Pakistan does nothing to stop them from resorting to this outright theft. People do not save their money in banks so that they should lose it, they save money in banks, keep it safe and withdraw it whenever at their convenience. In Standard&Chartered Bank the money saved is deducted till it is no more and after a while the bank tells the account holder that because there was no enough money in his account his account has been cancelled.
The new idea of banks acting as loan sharks instead of keeping ones money is in safe-keeping is something new. It is strange that banks deny giving loans to people who say want to set up hospitals, open schools and do other small businesses, even advertising agencies are denied loans. But loans are readily available for acquiring cars. (One of the reasons why loans for cars are available, because car theft has become a major industry. Stolen cars are either resold or their taken apart and the parts sold separately)
In order to open an account in a bank requires lots of money, it is as if the bank is doing people a favour by letting them have open account in their bank. Banks these day resent people who only save money and withdraw it - it is no longer their business. The result of this change in banking policy is severely damaging the economy. People are beginning to lose faith so they have started to stop depositing money in them. The result is that banks do not have the money which would enable them to do business the way they use to have the money to loan to people have their businesses. Once that money is not there, banks are in a difficult position and the result is that it severely affects industrial development and the country ceases to progress.
The existing policy has to be reversed to so that banks perform the function which they use to, encourage savings, keep checque books in safe keeping of the account holders. Treat account holders with respect and not contempt.

There are several websites entirely devoted to all kinds of conspiracy theories. Those theories may or may not be true - but then one can never certain what is reported in several respected media sources.
My experience as a journalist has taught me that no one should believe everything what they read, hear or see even from some of the trusted media sources. Because many times they get the facts absolutely wrong. Almost all the time the news is given an angle and the common spin and plausible deniability The real story is buried inside a large amount of text and once that particular news item is heavily edited the facts emerge and quite possibility seriously embarrass a lot of people.
One of problems with conspiracy websites is that none of them have any email addresses - or any other forwarding address. there is really no way to contact them. Even if there are email addresses most of the time they turn out to be fake - so it makes all those conspiracy theories sound like monologues and the theories which are presented absolutely dubious.
These websites play with the doubts and fears of people. Some of the information could be true, but there is no way prove they are so.

No one can topple Musharraf?

The BBC did an assessment about as to who are the likely candidates within the military and intelligence services who if they could they would be able get rid (president) General Musharraf - the BBC's analysis concluded that there really was no one.
Despite the second martial law (so called emergency) by this bastard General Musharraf - disturbances in the country and he is completely unable to do anything about them; the local media however shut down does not mean the reports of events are not being reported - the shortest route for the world to know what is happening in Pakistan is through India and everyone then the entire world finds out.
The general has made a mess of practically everything. He does not know what he should do about the myriad problems which exist, because he never really intended to govern the country, he never had an agenda as to how to make things happen. All his time has been spent enjoying himself and granting favours to his cronies. He resorted to criminal neglect of the country. He paid attention to ensure that no one should be able get rid of him at any cost.
Eventually when the pressure grew that he should have an election, he tried his level best to sabotage it, which meant forcing him to get involved in the matters of the state and that is when things started deteriorating rapidly because he never had any desire or even the inclination to actually work. Every decision he made since then in a single year has led to one huge mistake after another. Finally when he realised he could not anything right, he imposed martial law again. Has attempted to destroy the judiciary and the media.
In his speech when he announced martial law, he quoted Abraham Lincoln. He completely forgot that Lincoln was elected to the position of president. The country was fighting a civil war, the disturbances and chaos in Pakistan cannot be compared to that terrible state of affairs. Here the Pakistan military is fighting the people it has sworn to protect. Finally Lincoln was assassinated - does Musharraf want that to happen to him - it most probably is going to be that.
As for General Musharraf's cronies in the military and the intelligence services, may themselves may not do anything - but if the unrest amongst their subordinates spreads they would be forced to something in order maintain discipline and control to whom they give orders to, otherwise everyone General Musharraf depends on for his survival will also be engulfed in a terrible mutiny, the likes Pakistan has never known.
The increasing hatred of the military is a matter tremendous dishonour. On the one had if the military wants to salvage the little bit respect it has, it will have to make its move against General Musharra. On the other, the massive civilian unrest may spawn a whole bunch of suicide bombers ready get rid as many soldiers and along with them General Musharraf too. The most common sentiment is 'kill our soldiers wherever you see them'. When access to General Musharraf becomes impossible the military which is apparently loyal to him will end up hating him because they are becoming the target of civilian wrath.

What is education?

The answer the purpose of education is to EDUCATE. Education is not about examinations, homework or classwork periods and class (grade) system. It is about providing students - knowledge, understanding and to indulge their deep curiosity of so many subjects and that there are in the world. Besides introducing them the enormous variety of subjects which exist in the world.

Understanding by accessing to a great deal of sources of information. Many which may contradict one another. Provide proof fill in gaps in data. Education is about ideas and their orgins, it is information and its origins. The more we know the better we understand – but in the given circumstances, students are never encouraged to do this. Education is about the letting students know about the vast number of subjects which exist give them an idea is what can be learnt at least have an idea as to what kind knowledge exists in the world.
None of this has anyting to do with thoroughly memorising a handful of subjects. The examanitation authorities tell the students such information has nothing to do with their formation of their careers. Which only goes to show that the meaning of education has been severely distorted, it is only about letting students know just about so much as so that they can do a job and never bother with acquiring the knowledge in other subject or show any interest in them at because it would hinder with their studies.

The examination authorities lie to the students because if students were to study the examination authotiries would not be able to manage it. Besides there not enough qualified examiners qualified in fact there are none to check a paper of every conceivable subject which exists, for instance if there is a subject entirely about on How The Ears Of Mickey Mouse Have Changed Over The Years there would be no examiner to check such paper. By limiting the number of subjects is like telling the students that humanity has progressed just because of a handful of subjects which they are studying which is an absolute lie.
One of the most venal thing which has been introduced apart from reducing the number of subjects are textbooks which limits knowledge to the bare minimum and does not allow for questions and ideas from outside. Textbooks abbreviates all knowledge and they can never be questioned or challenged. In any case teachers themselves do not have the answers, if they did if they would have spend more than allocated 45 minutes in answering a student’s question. The examination authorities are living a proof that they is against education itself. They want to make things easier for themselves by quashing the curiosity of students.
There is a major difference between memorising and understanding. If a student understands a subject he would quote any source to give an answer and if he sees fit his answer can be just a few words not more. Instead of replying questions on the basis of memorising but through thorough understanding it would be a major change from the norm. If students answer on the basis of understanding – then the examiner will have to be equally qualifed to follow the student’s argument in every question which has been answered. It is far easier to mark a paper in which to answer based purely on memory alone and not on understanding and analysis.
Education authorities say exams would be impossible to conduct exams, if students do no memorise the information in their textbooks. They oppose the idea that students giving detailed information from outside sources other than those mentioned in the textbook, they are bound to fail in the exams because the examiners do not consider such information valid answers, hence the student fails although what he has written down an answer which makes perfect sense. Some question in exams can be answered in two lines if it students were allowed to answer them by simply understanding them and simply giving a gist – but that is not good enough, students are supposed to memorise an entire chapter like a printing machine.
Students study a specific subject an entire year and they are expected to answer questions within a fixed time. Which is unfair they should be given several weeks to answer all the questions of every subject. So that it should be easy for students to reply every question of every subject. This makes the existing examion system absolutely ridiculous. Another thing which makes it rididulous they are for specific time
Examiners are obviously stupid, impatient and corrupt group of people. They also have a tendency to give bad or no marks to correctly answered questions. Take money from influential people for improving marks (grades).
However there is no way of confirming such massive corruption exists and several times these has been reported but nothing is ever done about it. Examiners hide the examination papers from the students so has to keep their poor and most of the time completely wrong marking is done and is kept secret – so that no one can be implicated – if it was not kept secret and students are shown what they have done and allowed to challenge the examiners (who consder themselves above scrutiny and even above the law) the examiners would have to justify their position of give proper marks to the student.
A student should have the right dispute the marking of his (or her) paper. If the student is told that he did not complete an answer of a question the student he should be given the opportunity to do so even make required changes and fill in the necessary answers ; after this is done the examination paper should be remarked. But such a suggestion is downright sacrilege. If marking procedures are challenged by letting students know what they have done in the exams and they are allowed to redo the paper with correct answers so that the student can improve his marks─ the all powerful position of the examining authorities would be severely undermined.
How does anyone know if the examiners are actually checking the papers correctly or just generally wasting their time?But when students start out with knowledge which is dogmatic, they will learn only to conform not change the way things are done, the result be that nothing will improve everything will remain the same. Just because students were never allowed to question anything.
None of the students who get to the top of the class ever do anything remarkable. None of them has done anything to make the world a better place, invented or discovered anything – they just receiving marks not to improve things in society on the whole. It is just a personal victory and as banal as just to get a job. But it is statically impossible and is patently absurd that out of several million students only a handful of them get top marks whereas all the others do not. When all the students have been taught the same subject they should all get equal marks.
Since what I have suggested will never change – the only question remains those who fail in exams or have dropped out because they do not like they way they are taught or because they have continuously receiving terrible marks their option is to rely on their own talent and aptitude, which can never never taught in present day environment. Those who know how to do certain things, which were never taught and for which there can never be in any examination these are the people who will change the world not those receive top. These are the people who will become entrepreneur and hiring the people who did well in exams since they were too busy studying they did not have time to catch up with the realities of the world. Or these people would be dead because they committed suicide as their peers would condemn for being incompetent and stupid.
Examination authorities wherever they are in the world should be abolished and let students learn things which they like and try to learn more about them no matter how many years with no class (or grade) system acting as a hurdle. What should be encouraged is curiosity,questions, searching for answers. Make education a free system in which there no limitations no barriers.
Textbooks are so bad consider the following – a textbook tells about archeological find called Moenjodaro and the information provided is that it is 5000 years old, no reason is given about how is it known that it is as old, students are expected simply accept the information without questioning. The history of the Mughals stops at Aurangzeb, then resumes after a gap of a century with the mention of the last Mughal Emperor Bahadur Shah Zafar the textbooks do not comment as to what happened after Aurangzeb and what happened to the Mughal empire

Students are expected to accept it for all that it is worth, which is absolutely ridiculous. When studying Newton’s Laws of Motion – everything is based on time I asked the teacher what is definition of time was he was speechless. I asked my Islamiat teacher a question which was in two parts For which he had no answer. The first part my question was whether he believed whether God is omniscient and he replied that he did. God is. The second part of the question was when God is omniscient then He already knows who is going to end up in Hell or in Heaven – so what is the point of the Day of Judgement?. The Islamiat teacher, try as he might he could not figure out what the answer of the question. Questions can only be answered if teachers make the extra effort out to do the necessary research and analysis but none of them actually bother to do so.

A general running for elections?

How idiotic can things be that a military officer, who is still in service and continues to remain in service is going to contest elections this year!? General Musharraf has refused to step down as the commander-in-chief of the army and the other ridiculous military titles which he continues to hold. Suddenly he believes in democracy. In that case every military officer should be promoted by the soldiers only vote for them - there should be absolute democracy in the army. But that does not happen because - officers are promoted by some stupid committee. The same which made promoted Musharraf to the rank of general.
General Musharraf is a usurper and a traitor - he has no right to contest any election. An official from the USA has asked the general to resign from the armed forces and contest elections - but will General Musharraf heed this advice? The general knows resigning from the armed forces is no an option because he would have to explain - how he got power and what gives him the right to contest in elections when he himself deposed a democratically elected representative of the people.
People want democracy at every level of the government. They want democratically elected mayors for their cities and towns - not some civil servant who is not responsible to the people of the areas they supposed be ruling and not responsible for anything. The people want that every city and town should have a legislative body - a town council or parliament - no civil servant holding the rank of commissioner or should be in a position to impose any kind of rules without the consent of the people of that area. The judiciary should be elected too. The governors of provinces should be elected and the chief ministers too. The only way there will be changes in different parts of the countries when all kinds authorities and boards are eliminated and elected people should be holding responsible positions, not those appointed by an authoritarian government.
People in the country do not see any benefit in paying taxes. There is no infrastructure to speak of. Health and education are completely neglected because the federal government does not want to spend on encouraging mass literacy and education and building hospitals. All the money goes into spending on the military which has shown that it is not to defend the country but to deny the fundamental rights of the people.

Musharraf: No surrender, no retreat

General Musharraf - imagined it would be smooth sailing once he grabbed power. He imagined the people of Pakistan are docile and absolutely servile. But it came as a rude shock to him that when the unrests started. He is in a increasingly worsening state and does not know what he should do. The army knows that this could very well be the end of any kind of military rule.
Prior to the present military rule - since no suitable military officer was found to run the country Experimental Democracy was carried out. The evidence of that lies in the fact that President Ghulam Isaac Khan remained President of Pakistan in the tenure of both Benazir Bhutto and Nawaz Sharif who alternated as prime ministers they leadership was cut short and there were new elections every time. The other evidence of Experimental Democracy is that the post of Foreign Minister remained in the hands of Sardar Yakub Khan.
The newspapers were full of stories terrible corruption in all the institutions just because of the elected officials. These were news items planted by the military that civilian rule was hopeless and incompetent. The stories, some which quite possibly be fake others could be of actual crimes committed by military officials but the blame placed on the civilian government.
If there was true democracy the president would be a different person and so would the foreign minister. The military kept the above mentioned persons in their positions because it served their purpose. When people began to realised that they were being duped, Ghulam Isaac Khan resigned and so did Sardar Yakub Khan.
Musharraf is desperate to stay in power, regardless how much damage it is doing to the country. The military's involvement in any kind of political activity should end immediately. Power should be in the hands of the people of Pakistan.
One can only hope that General Musharraf quits but as things are at present it seems unlikely, he most probably will bring the country down before he does.

General Musharraf threatens to massacre

General Musharraf in his speech today - threatened to massacre the people who are protesting aginst his rule. In the same breath he said he is not afraid of anyone (obviously meaning the people who want him out) except God. From kidnapper - General Musharraf has elevated himself to a potential mass murderer. Instead of bowing respectably he has become so desperate to hold on to power that he will the very people the military is sworn to protect. The running joke about the Pakistan Army is that since it cannot conquer any territory, it very successfully conquers Pakistan over and again. The only people the Pakistan Army can threaten forcefully are the citizens of Pakistan.
The cronies of the present military officer running the country have announced that they will elect him for the next ten years. Which only means there will be no elections ever again. Because when the ten years are over he will be re-elected for another ten. But the bastard and the members of his junta forget that people can be a formidable force. They will overcome massacres to eventually destroy the very structure of the military as it is right now. It will be overhauled and every soldier will bow to the wishes of civilian authority. All those in the present government will be destroyed. The situation has become intolerable. The army should quit before it is too late. General Musharraf should realise this, but he is stubborn as an ass and neds to ovethrown along with his 'government'. No amount of speeches on State TV will save him from the wrath of the people. Once the people of Pakistan rise there will never be military rule ever again.

Our presen (CIA installed) military dictator: General Musharraf has shown that he has absolute unable to control things in the country. The chaos and anarchy which has enveloped the country not the result just because of the recent events, they are the result of the neglect of the country’s problems resulting in resentment which began to simmer over the years and and now has expkided in what the world is witnessing today.
Military dictators have only purpose to run the country – that is personal gain by looting the country as much as they can. The problems of the state is none of their concern. Rather they feel so high and mighty, worrying about the problems of the country are too menial for them. No decisions can be made on whatever changes and improvements the country requires.
The neglect of the economy harms the people, some take their own lives and others resort to crime on a very large scale which the police is helpless to deald with.. The only time ‘police action’ is whe anyone opposed to General Musharraf’s rule – he send soldiers over to destroy those people. A member of parliament imagined that he was in actual parliamen, he wanted answers to what happened in Kargil. He was thrown out of the parliament unceremoniously. – this was a time when Musharraf had started to have firm grip on power. As military dictators, they imagine that they have solutions to all the problems in the country, the way that member of parliament was thrown out, looked as if the solution to all his problems and began to apply it everywhere, that was the beginning of the end

Nusharraf was for some reason terrified of Sardar Bugti of Balochistan, he had him killed along and members of his family this was the first blunder.Then finally the most unfogivable blunder was removing the the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court – which unleashed so much rage that it spilled over in the streets. General Musharraf could never in imagine that people eventually stand up to him. He has lost contol over the country. Some people believe that the military is not prepared to back him and he is trying various ways to thwart the inevitable end of his regime..L It may well be that CIA could be considering replacing Musharraf with some other general - because a cemocratic Pakistan does not fit in the USA's long term foreign policy objectives]

General Musharraf says he will hold a press conference which will mainly include members of the international media, to explain his actions. The questions in this matter are: - in what capacity is going to address the press conference? Is he an elected representive of the people? which he is not - he is military officer who overthrew an elected government is now a military dictator. Would the free press of the world accept what he says – an absolute dictator and an absolutely free press do not mix, the would mock him in every concievable way.

Why is Musharraf so keen address the international media? Is it because the local media completely controlled and they are unwilling to report things or freely comment onything, not even depict him as a fool. Any newspaper or TV and radio channel does that would be destroyed. So what be reported would be dictated by the organisations which are the official mouthpiece of Musharraf.
If Musharraf has the courage he address a public forum with live TV coverage. In this public forum Musharraf would be required answers without being permitted to be vague or trying to dodge really embarrassing questions. For all the blunders he has made he is blaming everyone else except for himself, including family of the victims who had presented their case before the ousted Chief Justice.
The only thing Musharraf can rely on the war record - the “War against Terrorism”. If that his the measurement of his achievement, then it is a measure of absolute incompetence. He could not do anything for his own country – because he does not know where to begin. He can only begin if he understands, he would then do something. For the better part of his rule he and his appointed prime minster have been taking joy trips all over the world.- forgetting the problems of the country behind. That is all he has been doing, looting the country. Not only has he been kidnapping people he has also been stealing land. Entire fams have been grabbed by the military. When Musharraf was accused of that, he exploded in self-righteous rage.
The very concept of dictaorship, be military or civiian is abhorrent to civil soicety anywhere. It is a terrible curse which should be brought down and gotten rid of..

General Musharraf is an honourable man?

Way back in the late 1960s when General Ayub Khan saw the protests against, he too k the sensisble step and resigned from his post as president and handed over power to the Chairman of the Senate. The clownish and absolutely idiotic General Yahyah Khan disssolved the assemblies and made himself president - the result was there was a civil war and the country broke - because the issues the people were protesting against remained unresolved. The military had its humiliating time and was at the mercy of civilians again. General Musharraf should resign, before things become worse, if another military officer takes over in his place the country will plunge further into anarchy and cahos and result in far worse civil war, a reign of terror akin to what happened in France way back in the 18th century. Musharraf is hated for so many things, the list is very long. Musharraf has been insulted and abused. People would gladly tear him to pieces.
The blunder he has been making is to meddle witht the two pillars of the state the judiciary and the media. A private TV station was destroyed. Making enemies on two fronts is a recipe for disaster. Musharraf should announce elections. He dissolve the existing parliament because everyone knows it is a bogus one. This is the only way he will be ablle to to save himself.

General Musharraf is the kidnapper

Using the Provisional Constitutional Order (PCO)- ther present miliary dictator of Pakistan has sacked two judeges of the Supreme Court. Most prominien tly Chief Justice Ifftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry who was hearing a case on missing people The fact he was removed only goes to show that investigation in this matter would have exposed General Musharraf’s involvement in this matter. He is ordering the kidnapping of people. Kidnapping is a small crime as far as the good General and the entire Pakistan Army is concerned, it has resorted to mass murder in former East Pakistan the same can happen in what remains of Pakistan.
Just because the judge has been removed does not necessarily mean that the crimes which he was trying to look into would go away. The fact the judge was removed by an executiive from General Musharraf directly implicates the General, the army and the entire security network. Everyone is guilty. Extra-judicial murders are the order of the day. The pollice jauntily reports it has killed a criminal - when there is no evidence to the fact that person who was killed was actually a criminal.
The Provisiional Constitutional Order is an invention of General Musharraf in order to ensure that no court in the country, including the the Supreme Court should not label him and the members of his junta traitors – because they committed high treason by overthrowing an elected government. There is no way out, all military officers in the coup are traitors and will be given the maximum punishment any traitor is given. The judges of the Supreme Court who did not support the PCO resigned on a matter of principle. Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz who has supported the removal of the judges has also ranks of traitors.
Usually the nightmare of military dictatorship ends with war. In defeat the soldiers seek the mercy of the very people they have oppressed for years. Perhaps there may not be a war, but one way or another the military will be evicted from its hight and mighty posionn. Then it will be told to stay in the barracks and never come out. There should be powerful counter-measures in place which would eliminate any ambitious group of soldiers seeking to grab power. The military is a not a symbol of defence, it is a symbol of oppression and injustice. It has ceased to symbolise the defence of the country. Presently if it will suit the military it will cede the whole of Pakisan to any country of its choice.

The USA should do more for Pakistan

The USA has very high expectations from Pakistan. It wants it ‘to do more in Afghanistan’. But there is are some problems with that. If a First World country, which is also happens to be a super-power with unlimited wealth, resources with ability to manufacture and develop a wide range of land, air and sea weapons including advanced suirvalllance equipment, which it upgrades on a regular basis- cannot manage things in Afghanistan, then how can an undemocratic, dirt poor Third World Country with limited resources be in a position to really be able to have the same impact as the USA in Afghanista?
Pakistan has so many problems of its own and now it is required a fight a full scale war and that too by diverting scarce resources away from infrastructure and social uplift projects. The last time Pakistan was used in the previous Afghan War against the Soviet Union, as soon as that war was over – myriad sanctions were imposed by the USA as if all of a sudden Pakistan was the USA's sworn enemy and this continued for several year. Is that how the USA treats its friends and allies? Sanctions were imposed for a variety of reasons, as if Pakistan’s suffering from the previous Afghan War, which lasted a long time, was not punishment enough.
Pakistan desperately needs some kind of reciprocative response from the USA such as:

Complete write off of all its international debts.

Donation (not a loan) of US$ 500 billion.

Donation (not loans) for all the funds required for different civilian projects and particularly meant for national infrastructure.

Transfer of a whole range of highly advanced military technology, so that it can be manufactured here independently and not have to spend lots of money importing them.

Finally a permanent end to any kind of military dicatatorship.

Once these things are done then Pakistan will happily take over from the USA and NATO forces all the combat requirements needed in Afghanistan. no American and NATO soldiers need to die, they can go home and Pakistan will sort things out in Afghanistan permanently. Of course provided when things settle down, later the USA does not decide to impose sanctions again on Pakistan.

Russia versus the West again!?

For 17 years Russia was disposing off the empire which was not made by the Communists but by the Czars who preceded them and were overthrown. In this time Russia has been consolidating its economic and military power. During this time it did not concern itself with events beyond its borders. After the house cleaning and everything retrurned to order, Russia is beginning to reassert itself. When US commentator was asked about his comments instead saying something insightful - all he said - to sum up -Russia is being run by gangsters. Now what exactly is that supposed to mean? For any country any other sovereign country a rebel state and its leaders rebel leader. No one accepts any country's independence.
Does the US intend to arrest these criminals and super-corrupt people who are running Russia these days, does the US intend to kill them the way they murdered Saddam Hussein? Russia is said to have only a few friends - which the USA hates- China, North Korea and Iran. In that case they have become Russia's closest allies. Which would also mean that they would because mutually protected in case US plans to attack any of these countries the retaliation would be with nudlear weapons. What if one day Russia tells the US to withdraw from Iraq and Afghanistan unconditionally, will the US listen?

In hindsight

In hindsight, if Pakistan's Communist Party had swept the polll and taken over control of the government wouldPakistan today be less dangerous or more dangerous today? Of course the USA was so extremely against Communism that the polls were scrapped and General Ayub Khan took over in 1958. He eliminated all the members and communist party and its leaders.
Had Communism been allowed to prevail, then the communist party would have eliminated feudalism, tribalisma and the fanatical mullahs(who a re a cause of so much trouble these days).
Communist Pakistan would probably moved ahead economically. There would have been mass literacy and universal healhcare.
But this was not to be what resulted is a country by miliatry dictators and their agents. As time showed communism was not something permanent. The Cold War official came to an end in 1990 so the communists in Pakistan would have been elected out of office and the country would have moved and developed to a new phase of its development. But the USA wants o control everything on the grounds of expediency, not taking into consideration the long term effects of such policies.

Gun-running in wars

It is the history of the USA, when it intervenes with its forces - it never ever encounters a standing army - its soldiers end up fighting up the people of those countries who are spread out and for all practical purposes invisibles. Since it is so frustrating to be 'all dressed up and nowhere to go', US propagand leaders devote their time trying to dehumanise those people by giving them labels uch as Commies or Viet-Cong essentially all of whom were the people of Vietnam. In Iraq they are called Insurgents and in Afghanistan they are called Taliban.
No country can ever combat the US armed forces head-on – so other tactics are used which drags wars on to uncounted years. The people who benefit from are international gun-runners. They supply weapons to anyone. These gun-runners fuel the war, their source of weapons and ammunition can be any country in the world. Just because Iranian made bombs have been found in Iraq does not necessarily mean that Iran has anything to do with their direct supply. A gun-runner will simply choose get all the materiel from the least expensive source. The weapons could very well originate from the UK and the US – gun runners have no loyalties – they are super-capitalists.

If the US invades Syria and Iraq all the better for gun-runners, they stand to make huge profits. However the US does not bother with invading Iran and drop several hundred nuclear weapons on I of all types, shapes and sizes - thus eliminating the need for additional US soldiers from getting killed, for the gun runners it would be a sad time because when the people of a country have vaporised there wion’t be anyone around to fight. I was watching a local private TV channel, which should be independent of state control. This channel in its news bulletin had no relevant news - but what startled me was three US officals said the same thing 'General Musharraf is the US' greatest ally against terrorism'. What is that supposed to mean exactly? Should it not have been said in the news item that Pakistan is the US' greatest ally against terrorism. Considering the material which was given to the newscaster he simply repeated 'General Musharraf is the US' greatest ally against terrorism, which could possibly mean that the US officals have something seriously against Pakistan and only care about their puppet General Musharraf and no one else.

Since the military regime reliases it is not possible to successfully block the Internet, peope have to pay more for unhindered acces. One company Cybernet is very officious about this - it wants the identity card of the people who subscribe to this service from them, as if the people who accesss the internet are a bunch criminals.

Escaping the dry zone

The ban on alcohol has been a tremendous loss to the country in several ways. People here are just as fond of drinking just as people anyone else in the world. When the ban on booze was imposed in 1977, the people who enjoyed having peg or two after a days work were deprived of their pleasure. The revenue generated by the sale of liquor was tremendous, by banning liquor this revenue dried up it went upto countless millions of rupees in today' terms it could several billion rupees annually.
The people who had accepted liquor as their part of their life could not afford the smuggled liquor - many of them choosed to migrate to any place where theycould lead the life that they were accustomed to. Many of them were businessmen who preferred to take their business to some otther country.
Many talented people which included artitst, authors, singers, musicians decided to migrate - the pleasure of drinking was something they missed dearly. The country has lost these people and in their place are people who incredibly stupid and absolutely ignorant, who are neither good for the country and are no good to themselves.
Of course everything in excess id dangerous - but liquor is essential - it does not have the same impact as a soft drink.
Although seemingly attempts are being made to completely remove the ban on liquor, but to announce it would make the mad mullahs screaming, although privately they are biggest boozers of all. The ban on liquor has made people reuslted in consuming variety of moonshine resulting in death or blindness. In the absence of liquor the number of drug addicts soared. If the ban on liquor hand not been imposed, there would not be so many drug addicts.
There a re tremendous hurdles in freeing up the sale of liquor - one of the reasons is the exorbitant taxes whiich makes it impossible for average people to purchase.. Poor people need booze as much as rich people do.but denying them a source of pleasure and celebration for any occasion or achievment is heart-breaking. Everyone wants some wine or beer. It woulld be a wise move to remove all the hurdles on the open sale of liquor.

The move behind the outrage against Denmark over some illustrations published in a Danish newspaper, was not motivated because of some religious zeal - the reason had everything to do with dairy products. People who cannot place Denmark on the map leave alone read a map besides do not know how to read and write their own language - knowing what was written in Danish is out of the question.
The milk and dairy cartel in Pakistan was forced to keep its prices at a reasonable level because Pakistan imports a great deal of milk and other dairy products from Denmark. This was done when this cartel tried to raise its prices way back in the 1970s. Now that Denmark is more or less out of the picture the local cartel can raise prices as it pleases.
Australia offered meat at very low prices, around the range of Rs 3 per kilogramme, but this was not imported, although several Muslim countries import meat from Australia, after certifying that its halal. Here in Pakistan the price of meat is Rs. 280 per kilogramme. The people who have a monopoly over the sale of meat will not let their business be affected by anything. So meat from Australian meat is not imported. The reason given to the hapless customers is that the Australian meat is not really halal and the mullahs of other Islamic countries is not a proper certification

US Star Wars programme and China's missile test

The US started building systems to defend itself against nuclear weapons hitting the USA, during late President Reagan's tenure. It was a huge and expensive operation. The USA applauded itself for going ahead with this programme and calling it a success. However only recently China has successfully tested a missile capable of destroying satellites in space. The US was quick to condemn China for this. Which is ridiculous.
The USA says it does not want militarise space when it was th4 one which started it. Commentators said the Chinese would be able to blind the USA by destroying its military satellites which are supposedly protecting the USA's armed forces. If the USA does not want to militarise space why does it have spy satellites and perhaps even missiles which are really orbitting missile launchers to destroy missiles or an enemy country before they are launched. So space has already been militarised by the USA, so if China has missiles which can destroy satellites and USA's orbitting weapons, it would be well in rights to defend itself by first blinding the USA if it intends to attack China.

The USA is presently at war with three countries - Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia and is threatening two countries Iran and Syria. When the additional soldiers were announced by the USA for Iraq, in the same speech Iran and Syria were were warned. This could possibly mean that the additional number of soldiers along with all the other stuff which is used in war is not really meant to control things in Iraq, it could very well mean that it would be a land-based invasion of Iran and Syria.
The USA would be going to war against Iran and Syria at the same time. Now who did that in the last century? Of course now I remeber, when Hitler was running Germany. The Germans occupied much of Europe tremendous ease till Germany was defeated, of course the very territories Germans had occupied were under the control of the Soviet Union - who really won the war? The USA is seriously considering destroying North Korea just because it has nuclear weapons.
What does the USA stand to gain from fighting these wars. There is no doubt that the majority of the people in the USA do not know and do not care what goes on beyond their borders, they are living a luxurious in comparison to many people all over the world. These wars do not affect the US economy and does not affect 'the average joe'. But President Bush has rightly pointed out that if his mission to control the world fails it would be very dangerous for America. Why should the US president want make enemies than it needs. Way back when the USA was fighting the war in Vietnam, the Hippie movement started. The roamed the world as wandering minstrels, long hair with bandanas, in their torn jeans. They flowers in the hair. "Peace brother!" was what they use to say and would smoke charas. Essentially they were against the war their country was fighting. Wandering Americans - practically rebels, revolting against their governments war-mongering. In those days Hippies were tje friendly face of America, when most people did not know what an American was.
The Hippies have vanished.
Now Americans citizens are told not to go to a particular country because they may get killed, kidnapped etc. Whoever invented this, demolished the concept of the Americans who do not approve their government's policies to travel the world preaching their beliefs to a world which would be more receptive. Americans are now told that the world outside the USA is a very dangerous place.
These are different times. During the Vietnam war TV reporters showed what was going without being embedded with their military. Now media only reports what the military wants it to report - practically eliminating any possibility of independent and balanced reporting. Just taking the military's version is just not good enough. It makes the news look extremely biased. There is no freedom of expression. Truly objective reporting means looking at all sides of a story, investigating independently without anyone's involvement.

The people who lost their homes and their livlihood are still living in tents, no new buildings have been constucted. No roads have been built. A country which has fought a world power and brought it to its knees, has the ability to do the same to other forces. The world power had an endless supply of weapons and soldiers and can easily be transported by land. The present foreign forces do not have this luxury.
The cost of the war is escalating just because of the cost transporting soldiers and matteriel. To maintain in fighting shape is an added cost. The cost of training soldiers and equipping them is another expense - so when they are killed that is money down the drain When tanks and helicopters are destroyed - those are exorbitant. losses If one of those tanks are captured and used by the Taliban that too is money wasted - for the Taliban these are free gifts. Fallen and captured foreign soldiers are prizes. KarZai does not know this. Just because the foreign soldiers are having problems does mean Pakistan is involved. This war on terror started with the intention to capture Osama bin Laden and for five years he has not been captured. Obviously the reason to go to war in Afghanistan has nothing to do with fighting terrorism or capturing Osama bin Laden. It has everything to do with controlling the resources of central Asia nothing else. Osma bin Laden is a scapegoat.
The war in Iraq had nothing to do with WMDs or deposing Saddam Hussein it has had everything to do with having control over Iraqi oil. The war on terror is the biggest sham of all.

Shopkeepers for instance will not have ready change, they will not have all the items one requires so customers have to go from one shop after another to purchase the things they need, instead of being able to buy everything they need from the one shop. Particularly in the case of general stores, the one which is successful is the one which is well supplied, provides discounts - particularly to regular customers and always has the right change. This ensures customer loyalty.
A number of mobile service companies have opened in the past number of years - it has taken them some time to improve their standard of service. But even the improvement is still below international standards.
For instance if someone is regular subscriber and has always paid his bills over several years - that subscriber is treated in the same way as someone who is new. If the subscriber has reached 80% to 92% of their 'credit limit' all outgoing calls are disconnected. What is the incentive for any subscriber to remain loyal to any mobile phone service provider. A person who needs to remain in touch with family and friends will change his mobile service provider the very second his outgoing calls have been blocked. For mobile service operators retaining customers and providing better service in comparison to ones competitors. There is a service which has not been introduced in Pakistan - free outgoing calls to all people to whom one calls to. This then service is extended to the list of people given in the list - in this way the number of subscribers increase several times over.
In Karachi a city of 16 million people, there is room for 12 more mobile phone service providers. This would force existing mobile phone subscribers to do a great deal more. For the present give concessions to regular subscribers by letting them continue with their outgoing calls even if they crossed 100% of their credit limit. The subscri ber will definitely pay at some. Say place the outgoing cut off limit at 150%, this would change a lot. It may appear that mobile service company is going to lose money, but that would not be the case, more people would prefer such service than one which cuts them off at 80% or less.
In the use of the GPRS all the companies have adopted a strange system of chargig for accessing it. With the new phones which nearly all have GPRS the mobile phone service companieas should have their respective methods of charging. None of them are charging on the basis of duration, they are charging the basis of size of the data, which is patently absurd. ISPs simply charge on the basis on the the time consumed for dial-up connections and for broadband they have a fixed amount per month in which one remains logged on 24 hours a day, irrespective of what the data is. There is really no incentive in using GPRS when such a shoddy system has put in place.
The system is flawed because all the information one requires can be downloaded on to the computer, through Infrared or Bluetooth have that information transferred onto the mobile phone. With new technology, thus benefits on GPRS to mobile phone service providers non-esistent. The mobile phone service providers should operate just like ISPs and charge on duration not size of date. Too many benefits and previleges which people in other countries enjoy do not exist simply of terrible marketing and pathetic customer service.
Leaving aside mobile service companies. WiFi is fairly common but does not exist in Pakistan. One cannot access the Internet, because there are no 'Hot Spots' Once cannot open ones laptop and access the Internet for free. Every technological development takes ages to come here, because thousands of committees sit down to check if such things are needed or not. The end result is that particular technological development takes several years to arrive by which time it has become outdated.

This being said, the media is supposed to portray an asexual society which knows nothing about sex, detests sex or anything related to it. The anti-AIDS campaign is a complete failure because there is hardly any mention of sex - because of the fear of offending anyone.
Sex is like something which the rich and powerful can talk about out loud, while the weak and impoverished have to stay silent.
Cable channels have been ordered to show only PG rated shows and movies anything beyond that is prohibited. The ban on the Internet continues. The current policy is to please the ignorant and stupid mullahs, without regard what the general public thinks. General Zia introduced the Hudood Ordinance the result was that any woman could be accused of adultery or fornication and jailed. Karachi sinks

What happened in Karachi was not a natural disaster, it was a man made one. The city sank and no one is taking responsibility for it because there are bureaucrats and military officials everywhere - none of them are prepared to take the blame for their incompetence. Everyone knows that the military namely its Frontier Works Organisation was responsible for rebuilding the Clifton road and took over a year to do so because every military officer wanted his share in the kickbacks for building the road. Neither the Karachi government nor the Karachi Port Trust are to blame, the fault is with Frontier Works Organisation which built the Clifton Underpass which got flooded there was not drainage system - the reason why there was no drainage system is that Frontier Works Organisation will start rebuilding the Clifton roads again with a drainage system. But that will not do, because is greed is a disaease.
The drainage system which is going to be built is going to so defective that it will clog up before the next rains hit Karachi.
Everywhere the city is being dug up, the sewerage lines have burst - it is not the fault of the people living in the city it is entirely the fault of the military and the bureaucrats. They deliberately build bad roads. In some places there are no sewerage lines and in the places where they exist are designed to get damaged so that roads get flooded.
Instead of building a fountain costing almost Rs 300 million rupees the money could be well spent in building good roads have a proper functioning and completely reliable drainage and sewerage system. But that is not to be. Corruption rules the day - no one catch the culprits tecause they are above the law.
In many parts of the city water is not supplied through water pipelines because none of them exist. So the people have to have water supplied through water tankers. That business is being run by Rangers. The Rangers are in the city to ensure law and order, instead the Rangers are running the water supply business more appropiately the water supply racket. No one can challenge as to why the Rangers are into water supply racketeering.
The Karachi Electricity Supply Company entire electricity supply system collapsed people did not have electricity for several days. For all intents and purposes this is a crime. But no one can challenge these criminals who are running the city and also the country.

The 'First World' countries have the incredible honour of mass drug smuggling in the name of their respective kings. They forced the Chinese to become drug addicts. Now that drugs are flowing into their countries they have all the ridiculous complaints. Britain is responsible for causing famines in India which killed 30 million people . The Americans kidnapped several million Africans to work as slaves. There is no end to the extent of inhumanity and there is talk of human rights. Whatever stupid reaspmPIA has to increase its fares by 240% is inexusable. The objective should be to make money by having more passengers not reducing the number of passengers. No one flies by PIA because its management is filled with blithering idiots who make tall claims of being profitable when in realithy they are losing money on every route. There cheaper airlines for every route. Besides the military regime has turned PIA into its personal carrier. When the absolutely corrupt General Musharraf, the members of his regime and and all the hangers ons make a world tour, PIA has to fly them free everywhere at its own cost. There is no sense of shame an dishonour. PIA has to suffer because of the corrupt military regime. They have lost their sexual drive I believe it is called libido. The sperm count in men has fallen too. Whatever chemical is being put in the food and water is resulting in this drop in fertility. Since wives do not have any sexual desire their husbands cannot go to them. Even if some women manage to retain their libido, their husband's sperm would not result in the birth of a child. Families do not extend beyond one or two children, not because they do not want to have more children, it is because of some kind chemicals have been inroduced either in the environment or in the food or water that most married couples lead absolute sexless lives. The chemical's effect is so great that women have a growing aversion to anything pertaining to sex. While the husbands have the sexual drive but are not in a position to father children even if they do have the rare chance of sexual intercourse. More and more men are seriously considering abandoning their wives and to marry other women who can give them intimacy and sex. The number of divorces have increased - women leave their husbands because of their dislike of sex and men divorcing their wives because of the lack of any sexual relationship.
Some people theorised that the reason why this is happening is because of money. But what is conveniently forgotten is that the poor and the wealthy both have had plenty of children. If money was a factor then the poor would never children only those with money would. But the problem is affecting both. Fewer children are being born. What better way of wiping out an entire nation then by reducing its population, instead of killing them not allowing more to be born. This may sound like science fiction but it does seem eerily more like science fact.

It goes without saying that the military regime is filled with absolute idiots. In what way will blocking this website in Pakistan affect the Pakistanis abroad. They will have access to it and will know what is in it. The blogs I publish I cannot see them. But the people living outside Pakistan can read them, because the stupid laws controlling the Internet in Pakistan do not apply beyond Pakistan's borders. People read all the 'salacious' and 'scandalous' news and comments about all the people who are msruling the country. Such stories the dams are being built because that the military regime wants to make lots of money from the contracts they handout, the kickbacks will go to all the ranking officers. Running like proper businesses

Newspapers and publications, advertising agencies and printing presses are businesses which are not recognised as proper industries. Although they should be given the status of full fledged industries. The benefits and protection provided to the newspapers and publications are not given to other industries, this should go. Let the newspaper and publication industry work on the principle of what they are bringing to the market. Let the world know how much they are investing and how much they are earning. These operations start in small houses and that thinking never changes. Once they are forced out of residential areas and have to set up their operations industrial zones, they will have greater appreciation of their nature of business and they people whom they have hired and they will gladly pay people who offer them services from outside. Right now these businesses are completely anarchic, they are running without any sense of what the purpose of their business really is and they do not know anything about the state of their accounts.

I tried to start out as a free-lance journalist and found out that the owners of newspapers (and publications) are prepared to publish, but they are not willing pay anything for any article. The situation is just as bad if one is working in newspapers - the employees of newspapers are underpaid and their effort is never appreciated. The fact that someone who can write is never paid explains why there no Pakistani novelists. Creativity is being killed. First the cinema was destroyed and now the publication industry will disappear. In local advertising agencies, copywriters are considered the most worthless of all the employees.

The publication industry is resorting outright plagiarism and with the Internet it has become easier to copy entire articles and columns. So the value of someone who wants to make a living out of writing simply does not exist, because nearly all the publishing houses would print things for free - so they do not need people who want to be paid for their articles and columns. The local TV channels are also doing the same, they are showing reruns of old Indian plays and shows for which they do not have to pay anything, in this way they do not need any local production organisations which can provide entertaining shows.

As long as this trend continues, local talent will continue to suffer. As it is the local cinema industry has collapsed the same fate may well lie with newspapers..

There was a very dismaying news that the office bearers of al union of journalists are being bribed heavily, so that they should not demand the 7th Wage Award. Even the Sheikh Rashid a Federal Cabinet is being bribed heavily on this matter.
