The blessed and the cursed

The only way to get a really grand job is to be in the right place at the right time. Hardwork, talent, ability and intelligence means nothing. All that you learnt at you university or college is worthless. Consider a man working his butt off for years in a company, suddenly finds out the companies boss has been jailed for not paying taxes. The company winds up and the hardworking man ends on the street. He put in his life in the company – now his pension has gone and he is an old man with no chance getting another job. Lots of people try to be become movie stars end up they are too ugly, their voice is terrible and they just simply stupid – it is all matter of being bad luck. Others regardless of how they look get great part in some movie and end up acting in a film which makes lots of money.
A good luck also accounts for the fact that some people can get away with mass murder and never be held accountable for their crimes and some one get just kill one person and be jailed for life or executed. We believe that hardwork, paying attention, being extra careful is what pays – it does not - the road to success is only good luck. One person is born a king another pauper – but are human beings – but because luck favoured one person he became king and luck did not favour the other he was born a pauper. What is was perfectly legitimate at one time became a crime later – not because it was bad - it becomes a crime because it is matter of expediency. The powerful decided what is right and what is wrong – not the weak. To be weak or strong is all a matter of luck. Finding true love is matter of luck, unrequited love is bad luck all round. To be handsome, smart and rich are al matters of luck. To be ugly, stupid and poor is a matter of bad luck. Living a life of eternal misery because a treatment was delayed is bad luck. Living a healthy life is good luck. Rising to the position of being chairman of a company and dying shortly after is bad luck – never being able to fruits of rising to the top using every trick and underhanded method to do so. Getting a job is easy, retaining is just a matter of luck, rising in it is also a matter of luck. Luck in involved in everything.
There are people who are born with certain diseases others are not. Some people develop a disease for which only relief can provided and life can be prolonged – but there is no cure – that is bad luck. Some people never suffer from such diseases the live long healthy lives that is good luck. There are people who fall seriously ill and never recover and become a liablity to everyone else because the cost of keeping such a person alive is too high, there are others who are crippled for life – all this is bad luck. There is no undoing what has been done. Being kicked out of a job without any reason is bad luck, never being able to hold on to job for long enough is bad luck. Good luck is finding a job, getting promoted regularly, salary and beneftits increasing and finally getting the top slot in the company and really enjoying ones life now that is great luck.
There are those who firmly believe that luck has nothing to do with anything and strongly think that hardwork and intelligence is everything – these are not ordained by our will, circumstances exist in which the country’s economy is going from bad to worse and companies are struggling to survive – top qualifications, working experience ends up meaning nothing. All the country has millions of homeless people who have sold everything in order just to feed themselves. They freeze to death because there is no sheter. Thus luck is everything.
