In Iraq they are called Insurgents and in Afghanistan they are called Taliban.
No country can ever combat the US armed forces head-on – so other tactics are used which drags wars on to uncounted years. The people who benefit from are international gun-runners. They supply weapons to anyone. These gun-runners fuel the war, their source of weapons and ammunition can be any country in the world. Just because Iranian made bombs have been found in Iraq does not necessarily mean that Iran has anything to do with their direct supply. A gun-runner will simply choose get all the materiel from the least expensive source. The weapons could very well originate from the UK and the US – gun runners have no loyalties – they are super-capitalists.

However the US does not bother with invading Iran and drop several hundred nuclear weapons on I of all types, shapes and sizes - thus eliminating the need for additional US soldiers from getting killed, for the gun runners it would be a sad time because when the people of a country have vaporised there wion’t be anyone around to fight. Besides there would so much radition and heat, Iran would be unliveable for a century or so.
