General Musharraf threatens to massacre

General Musharraf in his speech today - threatened to massacre the people who are protesting aginst his rule. In the same breath he said he is not afraid of anyone (obviously meaning the people who want him out) except God. From kidnapper - General Musharraf has elevated himself to a potential mass murderer. Instead of bowing respectably he has become so desperate to hold on to power that he will the very people the military is sworn to protect. The running joke about the Pakistan Army is that since it cannot conquer any territory, it very successfully conquers Pakistan over and again. The only people the Pakistan Army can threaten forcefully are the citizens of Pakistan.
The cronies of the present military officer running the country have announced that they will elect him for the next ten years. Which only means there will be no elections ever again. Because when the ten years are over he will be re-elected for another ten. But the bastard and the members of his junta forget that people can be a formidable force. They will overcome massacres to eventually destroy the very structure of the military as it is right now. It will be overhauled and every soldier will bow to the wishes of civilian authority. All those in the present government will be destroyed. The situation has become intolerable. The army should quit before it is too late. General Musharraf should realise this, but he is stubborn as an ass and neds to ovethrown along with his 'government'. No amount of speeches on State TV will save him from the wrath of the people. Once the people of Pakistan rise there will never be military rule ever again.

Cell phone service blocking idiocy

Rehman Malik's idea blocking  cell phone services is going to ensure is madness.  In times of crisis all lines of communications shoul remain open. It is essential that everyone should be contact with everyone. If terrorists are using cell phones to remain in contact with one another, the police can trace calls, listen to what the terrorists are doing and planning and what they have done. This helps the police in catching them before they can.do any damage. In any case of crisis all lines of communication should remain open. People who need medical assistance can call them. If criminals are seen the police can be informed, so that they should be arrested. Even phones are as IEDs that number can traced if there are scanners around. Mysterious kidnappings

Young students in their twenties are being kidnapped from Karachi and other cities. Though reports about these are kept secret, but with the frequency they are taking place, there is bound to be a leak  and people eventually get to know about this. But the question is who responsible and why is it happening. There are no clear answers. But the people who get away by committing such crimes are obviously are very highly placed, they are virtually above the law. No one can arrest them, even though the evidence is overwhelmingly against them. This is a new way to terrorise the people, it simply boils down to this.
