A beggar at the bank

“Get out of here” The banker screamed, when the beggar came in.

“Why” Asked the beggar.

“Because you’re beggar” The banker says

“Of course I’m one” The beggar said.

“Then go”

“No”

“Do you want me to call the police” The banker shouts.

“No, I want to open an account”

“Don’t talk nonsense, you’re beggar”

“I know, but I still want to open account”

“You’re a beggar and you cannot possibly have anything”

“You'r wrong I would not say that, I have enough to open account”

“How much?”

The beggar shows him a Rs 100 note.

“Where did you get that?

“Someone gave it to me”

“Who?”

“I don’t know?”

“you don’t?

“Yes”

“Someone gave you money for what?”

“nothing”

“Why? Why would any one give you money for nothing?”

“Because…I’m…a…beggar?”

“I knew what you’ll say that. You really want to open account?”

“yes”

“Well, sit down, you will have to answer some questions”

“Ok, ask them”

“Where did you get money from”

“From begging”

“Do you have any documentary proof that you got this money from begging?”

“No”

“Why, not?”

“ Because I’m a beggar”

“That does not mean, you should not have any proof”

“I can’t give you any”

“Then go away, get lost, disappear”

“Why?”

“I told you”

“Fine I’ going to the next bank”

“No bank will take your money”

“Yes it will”

“No it won’t”

“I know all banks over here won’t let save money because of the State Bank of Pakistan

“Then why did you bother me, by coming here?”

“Just to check for the last time before I go the bank where all the members of my community have been saving their money”

“Which bank?”

“A bank, which is abroad but will let me save money from here , without expecting to travel and I will be not required to answer stupid questions, all the beggars have done the same, Now I will be joining them”

“Why didn’t you just go there, instead of bothering me?”

“Because I had to win a bet. Thanks to your and others just like you, I have lost it”

“What was the bet about?”

“ I said I would be able save money in your bank and they said that I would never would be and they were right?”

“All this was about some silly bet?”

“Yes”

“You were bothering me all this time over it”

“Ye, but not any more”

“Stop”

“Why”

“ I want to know something”

“What do you want to know?”

“The bank your going to must be very poor and desperate!”

“No, it isn’t”

“No?”

“Yes”.

“How”

“I believe it is because it doesn’t ask questions, it has been serving all the members of my community for a very long time”

“You know what the rules are, over here”

“Those rules stink because of that poor people can’t save anything. Thankfully though they never they never forget to give me somehing”

“Thankyou, I’ve made up mind –I’m resigning!”

“Resigning! why?”

“Because I have sold some property and I didn’t want anyone to know anyone to know how much I made from the sale Someone deposited several crores in my bank and gave all the information, a few days later his family was kidnapped he had to withdrew all the money from the bank in order pay the ransom the kidnapper had ask for. I don’t want to get into that kind of trouble”

‘You’re realising this now! Your bank is not allowed to keeps secrets, provides details of every account to all kinds of people, particularly the kidnappers who are friends of the State Bank”

The blessed and the cursed

The only way to get a really grand job is to be in the right place at the right time. Hardwork, talent, ability and intelligence means nothing. All that you learnt at you university or college is worthless. Consider a man working his butt off for years in a company, suddenly finds out the companies boss has been jailed for not paying taxes. The company winds up and the hardworking man ends on the street. He put in his life in the company – now his pension has gone and he is an old man with no chance getting another job. Lots of people try to be become movie stars end up they are too ugly, their voice is terrible and they just simply stupid – it is all matter of being bad luck. Others regardless of how they look get great part in some movie and end up acting in a film which makes lots of money. A good luck also accounts for the fact that some people can get away with mass murder and never be held accountable for their crimes and some one get just kill one person and be jailed for life

Mysterious kidnappings

Young students in their twenties are being kidnapped from Karachi and other cities. Though reports about these are kept secret, but with the frequency they are taking place, there is bound to be a leak  and people eventually get to know about this. But the question is who responsible and why is it happening. There are no clear answers. But the people who get away by committing such crimes are obviously are very highly placed, they are virtually above the law. No one can arrest them, even though the evidence is overwhelmingly against them. This is a new way to terrorise the people, it simply boils down to this. If the police and other law enforcement organisations are unable to prevent crime, the people would be forced to take up arms against those who murder, kidnap and steal. Whatever the reasons for the kidnapping, is irrelevant, the people protecting the kidnappers will face the wrath of the people. No court, no judge is going to prosecute these criminals. There is a limit to su

Dr Salman Shah is insane

The price of petrol has been increased 7 times and the country's Finance Adviser says it will not affect the economy. I do not know about the economy but I am paying more and more for petrol and my salary has not increased, it is not enough one day petrol will eventually become as expensive as gold or more. Its people like Dr. Salman Shah who do not announce anything during the budget announcement, later start telling the people that everything is going to be more expensive later at the same time say it will not make any difference to the economy. Dr. Salman Shah says this because he does not have to pay for the petrol of his limousine - it is free for him Why should he not drive around in his limousine and pay for petrol from his own pocket instead on relying on the government. The day he starts doing that he will realise what he has done, he will scream. The price of petrol is high because it has 300 per cent taxes on it. If those taxes are removed the petrol would be m
