In Star Trek - the devices most commonly used are are transporters - fancy names for teleportation devices, then there are replicators - not to be confused with the evil Replicators of Stargate Sg1. These replicators can synthesise complex items such not only food, but only plates, cups and glasses - what if this two devices were combined. - transporters could be used to transport food into our bellies, transport out all body wastes - so you never have to go to the bathroom. Replicators could be used to make weapons of all kinds - doctors do not inject anything in the patient - the ships computer is so smart it can transport out a tumour or replicate the right drug and transport into a patients body - in fact the ships computer will be constantly monitoring the crew's health.
Why should robots be four limbed creatures they can be like octopus but with many more arms so that they can each arm can do be doing different things at the same.
All space travel shows have these ships breaking down as if they are steam ship. The engine should be run and operated by artificial intelligent robts constantly keeping in working order. The ships constantly go through upgrades.
If transporters can disassemble or reassemble the particles of an individual then it would mean that no one can die, because some vital part of an individual was affected which resulted in death, but with disassembling a person's body minus the weapon or whatever that caused death, the person would be alive again, because the information about the person's living state will be in the computer's memory. All particles will be put back together again. So it will impossible to die in the future.
The biggest idiocy of Star Trek The Next Generation was that the captain was bald, in the 24th century a cure for baldness and aging would have been found. How is it ships have to piloted by people, why not leave it to robots or to the ship's computer do it, its happening now with the autopilot. People can spend all their time having orgies in the 'holodecks'.
What about the future of the Internet four centuries in the future. Everyone in ship will have their advanced versions of dvds, pcs, they will be chatting with aliens, watching alien porn - although it will not arousing. Would Vulcans find porn logical?
Space is not flat, it is three dimensional, so why are starships flat? They can be attacked from above and below - or any direction - I suppose people who write space travel stories come from the League of Flat Earth Believers. Space ships should be ball shaped, so that it would be possible to travel in any direction.

Can you give me a heads up as to who your cable provider is? I'm sort of alienated out here. Thanks.
